Hillary, Progressive or....?

Do you go to jail for manipulating your own machine?

I live in California where you can't lift your own hood without breaking 200 laws much less putting a GT35R on the damn thing.

Can't run my own business either....got tens of THOUSANDS of pages of regulations telling me there is no fucking way to be legal and that the state agencies will use me as an ATM at will and there is nothing I can do about it.

I'm not even allowed to change my own god damn light bulbs without a licence contractor or paint my mailbox without county approval first. Bunch of liburhul fucking tyrants who loathe poor people and don't want anyone making money for themselves.

Ms Clinton, like all Cabinet officers, had executive authority to classify documents from and in her department. Any emails she said were unclassified, were. Can you process that?

Mrs. Clinton....like all elites could get away with fuckin MURDER and at most do 6 months house arrest at Martha's Vineyard while the trial happened and it would be considered time served.

God damn rich kids get away with murder point blank and you think they would hammer the fucking Secretary of State anything like they would Joe Nobody?

They don't even hammer regular ass women as hard as Joe Nobody for the same crimes much less the most powerful woman in the whole god damn country.

She's above the law and so is that lying sack of shit Obama.

CAN YOU PROCESS THAT??

Do you hyperventilate over past GOP cabinet members with their own private servers?

No, do you?

But I take your point on the economy-crashers. Yes, Obama and Clinton are the usual corporate whores. 'Socialist' Obama did all he could to shelter his 1% backers, the same Wall St thugs benefiting from WJ Clinton's and GW Bush's deregulation and incompetent oversight. The fucking thieves who wrecked the world economy not only went unpunished but were rewarded. Obama's name will live in shame for that.

Holy crap! Well at least your not quite the partisan hack some of the tools around here are.

ObTopic: Clinton is a DINO and no progressive. But she's nowhere near as noxious as any GOP contender.

No she's not, but that doesn't make her not a slimy piece of shit.

I know that many people feel that way. But I think you will get essentially the same policies with either Hillary or the GOP -- the difference is that if the GOP is in the White House, Democrats will raise hell and resist those policies, whereas if Hillary is at the helm, they will meekly support those policies, as they have done with Obama. So it might be in the national interest to have the GOP win, if it comes down to a GOP vs Hillary race.

Must be another California. I have few such problems here in Amador (Amateur) County. Other than not being able to shoot the neighbor's constantly barking dogs. Maybe if I open their gate, the local brown bear will eat them.

No, I am not. Nuke the gay whales!

You don't have to SMOG your car?

I lost a 750hp Nissan Z32 just a few years ago in Citrus Heights because a cop spied my waste gate dumps spitting fire on I-80, so it's the same California.

Go ahead and get pinched by a cop with a non compliant car on the road. If it's minor they will send you to a reff and give you a fix it ticket. If it's because you did it for moar power they will crush that fucker and hose you in court just to throw salt in the wound.

Sanders surrogate Nina Turner goes ballistic on CNN: Blacks vote Hillary because of ‘brand loyalty’

Former Ohio state Sen. Nina Turner (D) asserted on Monday that “brand loyalty” was causing African-American voters to support Hillary Clinton in spite of her 1996 remarks about “super-predators.”

After Bill Clinton recently shouted down Black Lives Matter protesters who disagreed with the use of the term “super-predators” during his administration, Sanders called on the former president to apologize “for trying to defend what is indefensible.”

On Monday, Turner told CNN’s Chris Cuomo that black voters “cannot be super-predators and then a firewall [for Hillary Clinton] in 2016.”

“African-Americans for far too long have been painted as the other,” she explained. “And the term itself — predator — is bad enough. Adding super-predator to it adds another dimension, and we know the impact that has on the African-American community.”

Our locale in Amador County is beyond AQMD zones. Vehicles registered here get smogged only when title transfers. Our last home was in western Sonoma County, also outside the smog-regularly zone. Our last forced smogging was 1989 when we lived near Santa Rosa. Rules change when you're out of the man-heaps.

If it sounded like a V6 turning 8300 RPM setting pipe bombs off in between gears it's a distinct possibility.

I miss my Japanese Camaro :(

Yea...there is no smog at all in Trinity either.

Unfortunately if your car is modified with anything not CARB approved with a valid EO# and CHP gets you, you're still fucked regardless of county.

California hates gear heads and hot rod fans, unless they are diesels.

Bro dozer rollin coal? No problem....you are free to pollute at will as much as you want with an F-9billion or a Dawj Ram Cumminz~!

4 banger with a non approved hub caps and an air filter not from the stealership still getting 42 mpg?

Crush it before it burns a hole in the ozone.

It's right up there with guns....Handguns 92~% of your gun crime? Ban scary looking semi auto rifles used so rarely the FBI quit tracking data on them like 15 years ago. Because scary looking! OHHHHHH!!!

I'm praying to the flying skettie monsta that CA does what it looks like they are going to do and run as much agriculture out of the state as possible, shit on pot farmers (except the well connected elite ones of course because California) and give me a reason to leave.

Hillary’s Criminal Past Is Exposed – This Could Destroy Her

Private correspondences from the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (a federal agency connected to the State Department) wrote a memo in 2010 informing a Clinton Foundation donor that government resources would be steered toward the donor’s project in Haiti!

This is the very definition of pay-to-play, and Hillary Clinton deserves to be indicted for this alone!

According to the proposal, Miami businessman Claudio Osorio and his company InnoVida would build homes on the island using low-cost proprietary panels. Lynn Tabernacki, OPIC’s renewable energy director, noted in the report that InnoVida had “U.S. persons of political influence that are able to assist in advancing the company’s plans.”

“For instance, former President Bill Clinton is personally in contact with the Company to organize its logistical and support needs,” wrote Tabernacki. “Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has made available State Department resources to assist with logistical arrangements.”

This will not hurt Hilary. Desperate people grasping at straws.

How foreign cash made Bill and Hillary ‘filthy rich’

This might get some traction since it has the Rethuglican machine behind it.

Hillary Rodham Clinton used her clout as secretary of state to do favors for foreign donors who gave millions to her family foundation — and who paid millions more to her husband, Bill, in speaking fees, a new book charges.

Records show that of the $105 million the former president raked in from speeches over 12 years, about half came during his wife’s four-year tenure at the State Department.

The claims in “Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich” come just a week after she launched her presidential campaign.

They raise questions about shady foreign money flowing into the Clinton Foundation — and what actions Hillary took in her official capacity in exchange for the cash.

“During Hillary’s years of public service, the Clintons have conducted or facilitated hundreds of large transactions,” writes author Peter Schweizer, according to The New York Times, which first reported the story.

Hillary Clinton is taking credit for the Fight for $15. Here’s why this is a betrayal of workers.

Hillary Clinton will be joining New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on Monday for a rally in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center at 11 a.m. to celebrate the historic $15/hour minimum wage legislation. Speaking as someone who worked for the Fight for $15 from the very first action in NYC, let me explain why this is an appalling betrayal of workers.

Fast-food workers marched in the streets and shut down stores for years, while an army of online supporters shared viral photos, memes, and news. And we did it again and again. Despite all odds and haters telling us that a $15 minimum wage would never happen — and still telling us that we should be “realistic” — we started winning and never looked back.

Fight for $15 is arguably the greatest union victory in decades, perhaps even the greatest victory of the progressive movement in recent history. One of those victories came eight months ago, when the Democratic Party adopted a $15/hour minimum wage in the official party platform, weeks after Bernie Sanders introduced legislation in Congress.

By contrast, Hillary Clinton is the only prominent Democrat who refused to endorse $15/hour. Bernie Sanders won’t remind people of this, so I will: He was in the streets with fast-food workers every time. There’s photos of him marching with workers in the pouring fucking rain, and he’s the one who pushed Democrats to adopt it. Yet, Hillary Clinton will be on the stage tomorrow for the victory moment.

That bitch! :)

Clinton rips Sanders by linking New York violence to guns from Vermont

Hillary Clinton continued to put heat on Bernie Sanders on Monday for what she described as his failure to challenge the national gun lobby or to support what she called a “common-sense agenda” on gun control.

“Most of the guns that are used in crimes and violence and killings in New York come from out of state. And the state that has the highest per capita number of those guns that end up committing crimes in New York come from Vermont,” Clinton said at a panel on gun violence prevention in New York.

Clinton’s claim that Vermont sends the most guns used in crime per capita to New York may be technically true due to the state’s proximity and small population, but it is also somewhat misleading. According to the ATF, in 2014, 55 traced guns found in New York were traceable to Vermont, less than 1% of the roughly 7,686 that were recovered, (though only 4,585 of those guns were traceable to a state). Most illegal guns in New York come from the south.

Yeah, there's more logic to a handgun ban than to assault weapons, if you want to buy that rationale. Though I'm against any gun bans, of course. That's one of my few beefs with Sanders, and I have almost literally no other issues with him.

Former NSA analyst wants Clinton to explain Kremlin connection

A former analyst for the National Security Agency is calling on Hillary Clinton to explain the emerging details of her campaign chief's connection to the Kremlin.

Lobbying forms made public last month indicate that the U.S. branch of the Russian bank Sberbank has retained the Podesta Group, a Washington-based lobbying firm founded by Clinton's campaign chairman, John Podesta, and his brother, Tony, in 1998.

John Schindler, a security expert and former counterintelligence officer, notes that the bank's majority stockholder is the Russian Central Bank, which controls more than 30 percent of the country's banking assets.

"Sberbank is functionally an arm of the Kremlin, although it's ostensibly a private institution," Schindler wrote in a Thursday article for the Observer.

That relationship has drawn new scrutiny this week, after the International Consortium for Investigative Journalism and the Center for the Study of Corruption and Organized Crime published 11.5 million documents exfiltrated from Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca. Those documents indicate that Sberbank, along with its subsidiaries, were involved in handling at least some of the allegedly billions of dollars in offshore funds held by Russian President Vladimir Putin and other officials.

"That financial institution isn't exactly hiding in the shadows — it's the biggest bank in Russia, and its reputation leaves a lot to be desired," wrote Schindler. "Nobody acquainted with Russian finance was surprised that Sberbank wound up in the Panama Papers.

"Predictably, Sberbank has blown off the Panama Papers revelations as nothing of consequence, but the fact that they are an arm of the Kremlin and they do plenty of shady things in many countries is a matter of record," wrote Schindler. "As is the fact that the Podesta Group is their lobbyist in America."

Because the bank has deep ties with Russian intelligence services and has been implicated in helping to aid Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine, Schindler argues that the Podestas should be required to submit filings indicating service to the Kremlin, and that Clinton should be required to say what role they will play in her administration if she is elected president.

I don't think there is any logic to any bans.

But I do think there is room for improvement for regulatory structure/enforcement methods/procedures and wouldn't at all be opposed to a ground up overhaul to help un fuck the gun law/enforcement cluster fuck we currently have.

Especially if there were some way to keep the emotional dipshittery of both the 'whuttaya nawt understayund about 'shall nawt be infringed' hua?' crowd and the 'ban scary things! I'm just so scared and that's scary sounding/looking so just ban it because that works!!' crowd.

But that prob won't happen so stupid from all sides will persist.

Neocon War Hawks Want Hillary Clinton Over Donald Trump. No Surprise—They’ve Always Backed Her

The neoconservative Right would have you believe this election affords them a uniquely tough choice. On the one hand, there’s Hillary Clinton, liberal bogeywoman and hated embodiment of the Democratic establishment. On the other, there’s Donald Trump, who has repeatedly called the Iraq war a mistake, accused the Bush administration of lying to drag the United States into said war, claimed he would be “neutral” in his dealings with Israel and just recently sketched out an “unabashedly noninterventionist approach to world affairs” for the Washington Post editorial board.

Whether or not Trump believes any of this is, as usual, up for debate. But some neocons are so disgusted with his rejection of foreign policy establishment thinking that they’ve declared the unthinkable: They’re going to vote for Hillary Clinton.

Dick Cheney heaps praise on Hillary Clinton

:eek::eek::eek::eek:

Well that clinches it.

Mr Cheney was asked in an interview with Fox News whether the Democrats would have been better off with Mrs Clinton than Mr Obama as their candidate in 2012.

"Well, I certainly wouldn't want to discourage good primary contest on their side, but I don't want to be the position of endorsing Hillary Clinton. That might be the kiss of death for her," he said.

Mrs Clinton ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in the 2008 elections but lost to Mr Obama, who made her his secretary of state. She has shown no interest in challenging Mr Obama in 2012.

But Mr Cheney, who has made numerous television interviews in recent days promoting his memoir and defending his own controversial performance during the Bush administration, was happy to stir the Democratic pot.

Half-truth Hillary finally exposed: This was the debate where Bernie Sanders changed the Democratic Party for good

What always disappointed me the most about President Obama was how he never even tried to change the language of politics that had been established in the eight years of the Bush presidency.

From immigration (on which he never articulated a different rhetoric than the punitive law-and-order one put into effect by his predecessor) to civil liberties to war crimes to inequality to health care to race relations to trade, he has kept to the establishment line on all substantive policy issues.

And that’s where Bernie Sanders has succeeded so brilliantly. Sanders has managed to draw level with Hillary Clinton in the national polls, and seriously threatens to upset the carefully balanced apple cart if he can pull out a win in New York. As a result, he has pushed the establishment to acknowledge, at least rhetorically, the grievances of the powerless. That is no mean accomplishment, and he and his supporters should feel proud for having come this far.

I do not of course mean this in the dismissive way deployed by Clinton and the rest of the “establishment” (the term Sanders repeatedly uses to describe her and which irks her so much), to pat Sanders and his followers on the back, as if to say, Job well done, now go home and let the adults take over, you’ve had your chance at saying what you needed to say but now we need to get on with the job we were doing before. Indeed, toward the end of the debate tonight, as Clinton became increasingly nervous—her shrill bluster and bravado seemed to have collapsed by the end, as Sanders only seemed to gain in confidence and grit—that is precisely the rhetorical tactic Clinton used against him.

Bern'ed is the word he seeks:D

Hillary Clinton rakes in Verizon cash while Bernie Sanders supports company’s striking workers

In some ways, it would hard for Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton to be more different.

Hillary Clinton, a Wall Street-backed multimillionaire, served for six years on the board of directors of Walmart, the world’s largest company based on sales. She remained silent at a time when the mega-corporation was viciously cracking down on workers’ attempts to unionize.

Bernie Sanders, on the other hand, has been unflinching in his support of the labor movement. Sanders has spoken passionately in support of striking Verizon workers on multiple occasions.

The Hillary Clinton campaign, meanwhile, has received tens of thousands of dollars from Verizon executives and lobbyists.

That’s not all. For a May 2013 speech, the corporation paid Clinton a whopping $225,000 honorarium, according to her tax records.

Verizon has also given between $100,000 and $250,000 to the Clinton Foundation, which investigative journalist Ken Silverstein has referred to as a “so-called charitable enterprise [that] has served as a vehicle to launder money and to enrich family friends.”

While Sanders works with grassroots organizations like unions and stands with the workers themselves, the “New Democrat,” of which the Clintons are the progenitors and the embodiment, rubs shoulders with big business.

This critical distinction is reflected in the respective longtime contributors to past campaigns of the two presidential candidates.

According to data collected by the watchdog NGO Open Secrets, 18 (90 percent) of the top 20 contributors to Hillary Clinton from 1999 to 2015 were corporations or firms that provide services to corporations.

On the other hand, 19 (95 percent) of the top 20 contributors to Bernie Sanders from 1989 to 2015 were unions.

Perhaps this is not surprising given the Clintons’ history. On their first date, in fact, Bill and Hillary crossed a picket line.

Yet another article that gives me the feeling that the Sander's campaign (and a lot of article writers) is more interested in making "I'm hurt" talking points than either being president or getting a Congress elected to back up a program.

In the debate, Hillary drew blood by challenging Sanders on having done practically nothing to help any Democrat win a congressional office in November, which he refuted--but after the debate the DNC chair pretty much confirmed he's done zilch in terms of helping anyone in the Democratic Party but himself (not that he's actually in the Democratic Party). It keeps seeming like winning the presidency will be enough for him and then just continuing to talk about candy being denied him--that he has no strategy to BE president--and that article writers like this are happy to fool themselves that that's going to be enough to bring any change whatsoever.

I'll be happy if, assuming that Hillary gets the nomination, Bernie sticks around to ensure some of his ideas stick in her program and then gets out on the trail to charge up his supporters to elect Democrats to Congress. However, I think it's more likely that he'll take his marbles and supporters and go home and keep his "Independent" shingle out--and that we'll wind up with a Congress even further right than it is now.

I agree Bernie should stay a Democrat and continue to drive the "Establishment" crazy by forcing them back to a "Party of the Working Man'. Bringing the 'Bernie Bros' into the party and democratizing it would be a good thing. Some balance to the "Neo-liberal Chicken Hawks" is defiantly needed.

That's pretty dreamy but would be nice.

Let's be real though guys....unless he takes like 90% of every single state from here on out including NY and CA Clinton will get the nomination. I doubt even that could get it done. She has practically all the super delegates and they are all just like her, a billionaire buddy buddy club that can't wait to shit on the working class and rip us off for the pleasure of it.

You know, SR71's kinda people.
