Holy Effing Yowch!!!!!!!

I had a Maine Coon for the longest time. Adorable little cat (okay, not so little; she was about twenty-five pounds and could reach my waist from the floor if she stretched). She was a stray when I found her, and she latched onto me in an instant, climbing up my body to my shoulder. She wouldn't leave me for days.

As she grew, she became much the dutiful little minx; she'd mew pathetically when I went to work, and follow me around when I was at home. When I'd walk up the street to the store, she would follow, wait outside the doors, then follow me home.

One night, when we were playing, she got a little worked up. I was wearing a pair of pajama botoms, the kind with the strings in the front that hung out. Well, she became more interested in the swaying strings than my hands, and went after them.

Yup.

Clawed me right on the head of my dick. Nasty little gash about a quarter of an inch long. In hindsight, I'm a little surprised it didn't get infected, considering the oils and whatnot that can be found on a cat's claws.

You should be in the Book of Records - the only guy to get a BJ from a pussy!!

BTW, I've got a Maine Coon. She is just a mass of tricolored fur and brings all the leaves from the neighborhood in the house attached to her tail.

Well I showed up for work today in a rather foul mood. My hand hurt to the point I had a hard time tieing my shoes.

I was talking with one of the M.D.'s and poured myself a cup of coffee. When I went to pick it up yours truly couldn't. The Doc took a look at my paw, asked a couple of questions, wrote out three scripts then cussed me out.

I got one Augmentin Shot. One bottle of 20 tabs of Augmentin, a script for Percocets and was informed I wouldn't be allowed back to work until at least Monday when I have to see the Employee Health Nurse as well as the M.D.

It doesn't look bad, not any worse than it did last night at least, but it sure does smart.

Wouldn't that be a hand job? :cathappy:

Yeah, that sounds more accurate. :p

Sorry to hear about your luck, Cat. But at least you're getting some attention to your wound.

If the doctor doesn't cuss you out, then the antibiotics don't work, it's a proven fact. :p

LOLOL

I'll have to remember that.

The doc cussed me out for not going to the E.R. right away and for putting myself through the torture of trying to work with a hand like this.

He then asked me about the progress I' making on finding a bike. (He too rides.)

The time I couldn't have antibiotics, they didn't cuss me out either.

But I nearly landed in hospital with that one.

Yowza, Cat! Good thing you could have that wound seen to on the house, as it were.

I guess I never knew how lucky I was. I was bitten by cats all the time when I was a kid, because of my mother's psychobitch of a Siamese queen, and nowadays, I've got a shoulder-riding cat who sometimes isn't fussy how he gets up there; never got infected like that.

Strange I never get infections except from these two cat bites.

An update,

As you know I was bitten last Friday. On Saturday I was put on Augmentin 875 twice a day.

I can now move my thumb without problems, and the swelling is down. Unfortunately I am dealing with an inability to bend the thumb without pain. (I think he may have hit the nerve, we shall see.)

I am also suffering from the side effects of the Augmentin. (IN my case these are tiredness, gas and the shits.)

I will be ever so glad when Tuesday rolls around and this script is done.

Glad to hear your thumb is feeling better. Sorry to hear about the shits. Been there once. Don't want to go back. Hope it all works out for you in the end.

LOL if they have to cut off your thumb you will be more like that cats- was this his intention?

Hope you are healing well, you should have snuck a few adult diapers home with you, never know when a Hershey Squirt will sneak up on you! lol

Me too.

Eat lots of bio-live yoghurt and try and find some acidophillus pills/drinks. I've found they really help with the anti-biotic side-effects.

Hey, at least the autmentin did something. The only time I was prescribed it, it caused my checking account (I didn't have insurance yet) to go into near-fatal shock, but that is ALL that it did.
