Beer was good, concert was awesome, and I hope to get my hearing back soon.

The most recent concert my wife and I went to was Trans-Siberian Orchestra when they played here just before Christmas. I've seen them a total of eight times now, four with my wife. It never gets boring. Each time, it takes a full day to get my full hearing back.

For days afterward, I'm hearing their renditions of Beethoven's Fifth and the Carroll (also called Cannon) of the Bells. I swear, if Beethoven was alive today, he would have been a founding member of that band.

Kids are born with selective hearing.

Are they ever . . . .

I can tell my daughter in my best 'Dad' voice to clean her room, brush her teeth, and put her toys away and she'll claim she didn't hear me. I whisper "ice cream" while I'm in the office and she's in the back yard and she'll come running.
