Houston, Tx Rollcall

I got that from my son. Along with a picture of him and two other guys in the barracks showing me their asses!

Very nice. I am glad its not my birthday!

Just don't order their chicken 'n dumplings. They are the worst I've ever eaten!

Well that just sucks.

Rented a truck for about $85. Spent $75 for the booth space. Dragged Bluebie out there to help me schlep stuff, which is TOTALLY bad for his back. Got up at the crack of damn dawn to drive over, set up and sit there in the cold all day.

Sold one kid's coloring tote bag, one cup & saucer, one vintage hand towel, one vintage apron and two ring pincushions. Grand total: $38.

We bought breakfast at McDonald's on the way (7.23), coffee and lunch at the show($6), I bought a jar of Amish Apple Butter and Amish Pumpkin Butter ($11) and we stopped and ate at Golden Corral on the way home ($20).

We're both absolutely exhausted. I'm totally discouraged right now. Obviously there was not much traffic. There were more merchants than shoppers. I especially loved all the women (at least 4 or 5 did this during the day) who picked up everything I'd made and looked at it carefully inside and out before announcing to their friends "Don't buy that, I can make it instead."

The best part was that it was cold and windy all day and RIGHT when the show was over and we were packing everything up, the sun came out and it warmed up. AWESOME!

It must have been a ghost town for you to have sold so little. I'm sorry it wasn't a better day. I've not even gone beyond the garage today. I guess there are many others like me!

where were you at?

Someplace, that sucks. I know how you feel though. I did enough card shows where the crowd was small and you struggle to get every sale.
