keiffers said:not gonna do a tree again - one cause of the cat and two its just me and too much of a fuss, plus I can't justify spending money like that without a job![]()
I'm Wild Cherry said:Just toss the cats out into the snow and cut down a neighbor's tree while you are out there.(kidding - honest)
Actually, I'll be using a handmedown artificial since I'm allergic to so much of nature!
In my first tiny apt, I decorated one of my silk trees! So much easier! Three ornaments and one strand of lights made it a finished product!
I'm Wild Cherry said:TFG - I saw the very tail end of the story about the stands at the Texan game. What happened?
TexasFunGuy said:What story?
hmm.. the Texas game was played at the Texan's stadium, Reliant Stadium here in Houston.. I haven't been able to find anything about any poblems with the stands but I'll keep looking..I'm Wild Cherry said:I heard it wrong. It wasn't the Texan's game but the Texan's stadium. I heard something about the temporary stands had technical difficulties during the Longhorn's game yesterday.

HOUSTON — A section of the railing at Reliant Stadium collapsed in the post-game celebration following No. 2 Texas' 70-3 win over Colorado on Saturday, sending several fans tumbling to the ground.
Nina Jackson, a spokeswoman for Reliant Stadium, said no one was seriously injured in the incident.
A group of Longhorns were shaking hands with the fans when a section of the railing on the lowest level near one of the tunnels gave way. Emergency personnel responded to treat a handful of people.
Texas defensive tackle Franklin Okam helped lift the rail to ensure no one was trapped underneath.
About an hour after the game the area was cordoned off with yellow warning tape and removable gates and guarded by a stadium staffer.

Summer will be back before you know it.. always is.. I live in south Texas for a good reason.. I hate cold weather.I'm Wild Cherry said:Brrrrrr.... Where's August and 100+ degrees!?
Thought I'd tell everyone that this Saturday is the boat parade at Kemah. I've never been able to make it but I've seen many photos. The boats are decorated and "parade" together at 7p.m.
I have other obligations but I've always wanted to go. If someone goes, I want to hear all about it and pictures would be great!

I just hate being cold..keiffers said:LOL you didn't have it so bad in Houston....come to Austin and slide into each other - that's the only good thing about being unemployed right now, I didn't have to worry about getting up and wondering who would hit me if I even attempted to venture towards work - I just watched out my window while everyone else drove 5 mpg hehe

You can wear what ever fuzzy slippers you want.. I won't look at you funny...I'm Wild Cherry said:Likewise. Why does everyone look at me strangely when I wear my fuzzy warm slippers instead of shoes? Don't they understand?
