Wait, what do you mean by a dysfunctional vagina? So does she have a cervix? Fallopian tubes? A uterus? Just how serious is her condition?

If the problem is just the vaginal tissues not "in" far enough, then she wouldn't have a cervix either, which means she would experience abnormalities in menstruation. That would have cued her that her body isn't...normal years before she's old enough to get married.
