We have a wife who is carrying on a secret affair. She has everything to lose should it ever be discovered, husband, family, friends.
The kick is, she gets off on the danger of that discovery, in fact, so much so, that her lover leaves her in precarious situations before he leaves.
One time, after sex, he ties her up and leaves her. She has to get untied before her husband comes home or gets discovered.
Another time her lover handcuffs her hands behind her back then hides the key somewhere in the house. She has to frantically search for the key before being discovered.
Another time, knowing the husband is going to call on the house phone at a certain time, her lover leaves a message on the phones recorder. Then takes the wife far away with out any money or means to get home. She has to figure a way to get home before her husband calls and hears the lovers message.
Another time the lover takes photos then hides them in a place where the husband would find them. She has to search and find them before the husband.
She is, of course, sick in the head, but she can't help herself.

Very few story ideas on here have rave reviews until they are written.

Balderdash? Now there's a term I haven't heard in awhile

Thanks for the encouragement. I love writing these stories. The problem is, I have 4 businesses I run so I am very busy. I usually write late at night, or I do take some time during the week-ends sometimes.

However, it is not an effortless task for me. I'm not that great a writer so I have to put a lot of work into my endeavors. When I see those efforts dashed upon the rocks, it is disheartening. I enjoy the writing, but I'm hoping that others will also enjoy the reading.

So, if I don't believe a story will be interesting to others, I really can't put my heart into writing it.

I try to come up with scenarios that are a little different than the normal you read here. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but if I know a head of time it's not going to work........well.

Sadly I totally understand your predictament. My time vampires are insane. I only run 2 businesses but both eat a lot of time. Like you I write in free time first thing or before bed and on a weekend if I call steal any private time. Keep at it, and like others said, just write what you want, share if you want and enjoy the opportunity to touch others with the story.

I agree with the blackmail twist. That does make it extra hot. Perhaps she's a prim and proper business woman and taking these kinds of chances gets her off sexually. She's prudish in bed, and the guy she's seeing is moving away (work transfer) and he wants to make her as nasty as possible while he still can. So he wants her to do anal and all sorts of nasty stuff, she says no, and he threatens to tell her husband. ect...

The whole premise of the story is that she can't help herself. She is crying out for someone to discover her infidelity and stop her. Her boyfriend understands this and is turned on by the danger himself.

I didn't want to suggest it was blackmail, just the same emotions of danger and concealment. I understand the compulsion she feels and the increasing need to risk, like a junkie in need of more to get the same high.

I have drafted a similar story still in process but in mine the husband knows of the affair and is orcestrating it with the lover. Her infidelity is both exciting to him and part of their game. Her genuine fear of being caught and not knowing he knows makes her the more exotic lover he desires and breaks her out of her routine. Obvious tropes, but I was intrigued by a "Puppet Master" twist behind the scenes.

How about this: Her bf understands that she gets off on almost getting caught, and so they experiement with public places. It starts off with him banging her in the park or something, she's nervous and scared, but she gets off on it.

The next day, he blindfolds her for their next location, when she looks, she finds that she's infront of her house and he wants to bang her in her own bed. She's reluctant, but he insists and she does it.

Perhaps she gets caught, perhaps not...

I agree with Carnevil9 - balderdash! Art is self - expression, not a popularity contest. Also, any good pollster would tell you that the majority of readers of stories do not read the forums, therefore the votes you don't get here are meaningless.(actually, votes not received are meaningless by definition, lol!).

Missed this thread when it first was posted, but agree with Carnevil9 and Craufurd...write what YOU want to write for YOURSELF.

Not a lot of readers actually come to these boards, and fewer yet visit the Story Ideas board where it is more author-related...so trying to get feedback on whether there is interest in a plot or not should not be done based upon the replies here. Particularly considering the number of people who wish to reply back "Anonymous" in most stories, LOL.

If a story sounds hot, I write it...not for the audience, not for fans, but for myself. If everybody likes it that is just frosting on the cake. The main gist is if I post it, *I* liked it, and that's what matters.

Don't get hung up on ratings or replies...do what makes you feel better.


As to the storyline, I love the idea. I would start off simple and have the scenarios escalate. It fits that she likes the excitement and living on the edge, but it didn't happen overnight. After one experience (with a low chance of her husband actually finding out), she recalls how her blood raced, the thrill of knowing she did something she should not have and ultimately got away with it...she becomes a thrill junkie.

The problem I foresee is it becoming less and less of an erotic story...so the hard part will be tying in the sex to make it provocative and entertaining...
