I've worn skirts all my life and as a result, the skin on my thighs that has always touched (I've been a big girl since...forever, lol) is a darker color than the rest. I don't want to tan the rest of my skin to match, lol, because it's pretty dark and the rest of me is, well, super pale.

So, any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

This is a question for a good dermatologist. Hopefully there is something inexpensive that you can use at home. Beyond that, there may be a laser treatment or similar, though that'll likely be quite expensive.

Only 2 solutions I can come up with is keep your legs out of the sun & wear pants when you are in the sun or tan up to match plus use lots of sunscreen to protect your skin, these are the tested & tried ways.

Since stockings have a SPF rating of about 2, you need either to use a high SPF sunscreen or find some high SPF stockings, which might or might not exist. High SPF clothes do exist.

Then after winter, when your skin's the lightest, start using the sunscreen and or wearing more high SPF clothes on your legs.

okay so i totally understand what you are talking about. the skin that has been always mildly chafed from contact? Yeah, my inner thighs are like that as well. Kinda odd looking, but if you find out something please post.
