Hold on...I think from analyzing his posts that he made a statement as fact about something before he checked to see if indeed it was a fact, then corrected himself. By your assertion that's a lie.

Therefore using your criteria, the statement used by GWB that Iraq had WMD, then claiming, after it was found there were none, that bad intelligence was to blame, was indeed a lie.

Republican's are not by definition often against the use of public funds for private endeavors. They lost the title of the party of fiscal responsibility long ago, if they ever had it at all.

And don't give me that line of bunk about the Bush years being some kind of abberation. Their high-borrowing and high-spending economics has been going on strong since Reagan and has exploded in recent history. But we still have right wingers here telling folks that the Republicans are fiscal conservatives and low spenders. They must have to bite their lips bloody to keep a straight face.
