What is the difference between an avatar and a profile pic???

Avatars are smaller pictures that appear on every post. A profile picture is larger and only seen when someone calls up your profile.

Also, you cn upload a profile pic as soon as you register (or possibly after you lose your virgin status) and avatar requires 100 posts or more.

Ther are also "profile pictures" on the site member/author's pages on the main site. I just haven't bothered to resize copy and post it my forum profile -- it's almost six years out of date anyway.
