How do I insert a hot link into the "new" forums"

When you start a thread or post a reply, there's a little bar of tools above the text field that includes options like bold, italics, and a little blue world icon with a chain link in front of it - that's the button you're looking for!

The same way you did in the old version -- with the URL tags for links and the IMG tags for images.

The only difference is that the new version doesn't automatically close the tags if you use the HTTP:// or IMG buttons. You need to click the "close all tags" icon or manually type the close tag -- i.e. [/IMG] or [/URL]
