getting your lit username changed? Like, say if you didn't get stoned any more and you wanted a new name, how does that happen? I don't want to start a new account, either.

To the best of my knowledge only Laurel and manu have the ability to edit usernames. You'll need to convince them that they should make the change for you -- and establish a precedent the other half-million Lit members can use against them.

They have changed a few usernames over the years, but there have clearly been circumstances beyond "My name just doesn't fit me any more" involved.

It was suggested to me to go to the authors page and submit a new story w/"change user name" as the title. In the text area ask to change your user name and why (it doesn't have to be that big a deal and names have been changed around here on a whim for as long as I remember). If they have the time and inclination then your name will be changed. You have to watch for when the "story" is rejected and your answer will be there.
