Um... I would have to say "not important". I can enjoy a sexy PVC or leather outfit, sure. But I can enjoy lace and taffeta and so on equally. In fact, if I had a tendancy towards fetishisizing one particular type of material, it'd probably be lace.

I have a leather jacket. I have leather restraint cuffs. But the fact that they are leather is pretty much incidental. I mean, I also have leather shoes...

Ok, I'm going to be the lone renegade here, but dressing and presentation are very important to me, and I find they become more and more important the more I indulge in these things.

As my bondage becomes more and more sculptural and aesthetic, the whole picture becomes important to me and the visual image a location for pleasure as much as the exchange of power, the sadism, the sexuality.

So what I am wearing DOES matter. What the sub is wearing DOES matter to me. Dressing in femme attire is a masturbatory activity for me. Sometimes my partner and I will dress up and dress one another and that IS the destination, that is the scene, the lacing and layering and the squeezing of feet into high heeled shoes.

Could I Domme in jeans and a T Shirt? Yes. Naked? Sure.

But I enjoy it best in fetish attire, the more extreme and the more demanding, the better. I feel personally disciplined when I have on a corset or a neck corset or a pair of heels in a way that I don't when none of my attire is strict on me, challenging.

I don't really take the more extreme attire out into vanilla context. In my everyday choice of clothing I am very aware of the message that is sent by high heels, big stomping boots, plucked and painted brows and red lips, a white sweater versus a black one...and I think about presentation and intent a lot.
