I don't think he's there yet. A bunch of his flunkies were convicted. He must play along with the pubbies to get bills passed and avoid eviction by impeachment. He gets many reminders of how limited his power still is, but that would change next year if he gets reelected with the majority I expect. Meanwhile, he could become senile before the corruption by power starts.
