I have a question for this forum, a friend asked me because I travel regularly to the States.

To purchase Viagra or other sex performance enhancers in Australia yo require a prescription from a medical professional.

Our inboxes here are flooded with spam from Canadian pharmacies offering to ship these tablets I believe with out a medical script.

What is the procedure in America, can you go to a pharmacy/drugstore and buy them over the counter or do you need a prescription.

I'd rather not embarass myself or the lass at the drugstore by not knowing the process.

Any help appreciated

A prescription is required in the US as well.

No, you definitely need a prescription here as well. The same goes for Canada, actually. Those internet pharmacies aren't legitimate unless they have a doc licensed in Canada write the script. There are various ways they do that and almost always involve a fee for the consultation and service.

Now when I was trying to increase my milk supply, I bought a medication that's not available here at all from an online pharmacy in the South Pacific. I don't know what the country's rules were, but I always got the shipment of the correct drug. It could have been seized by US Customs, although that specific pharmacy guarantees replacement if that happens. Still, it was very expensive to get the drug that way.

I'm not sure how your health system works, but I'm almost positive your prescription drugs are significantly cheaper than ours or a legitimate online pharmacy's. Plus, if your friend has ED, he needs to talk with his doctor to ensure there aren't underlying issues and medication isn't contraindicated. He definitely shouldn't order from an illegitimate pharmacy: he's likely to be scammed, have his ID stolen or even receive something that could harm or kill him that way. Many illegitimate pharmacies sell inferior or even dangerous products, and people have died because of that.

What SweetErika said. You need a prescription for them here and depending on where you live they may be a lot less expensive. The internet is most likely a rip off. Also what she said about seeing a doctor is very important. There may be several causes for ED. Your friend needs to get checked out.

The various drugs advertised on line...

Are definitely rip-offs. There have been many expose' s on them and most are simply sawdust with a cohesive and coloring.

Thank you all so much for the helpful advice, I have already passed it on to my friend, he only wanted to try it out with a girlfriend to see if thy could have more fun.

The warnings about online sales have also been passed on and I think the posibility of identity fraud has put him off.

Didn't expect such helpfulness, thanks
