ok i've seen some posts on here for asking "how to?", and well this is what i've found out after trying a few things and this is was i do, it will work for girls as well i'm sure

1) i use an electric razor first go over everthing with the trimmer ( for the shaft buy a different trimmer like one that is smaller, don't use the on on the razor, it can cut lol), after the trim you can use the shaver part

2) go over it with an actual razor, take your time though, even though you think you got everything, there are still some hairs plus it gets a closer shave and REMEMBER..... do not go against the grain lol, use any type of razor, but i use sensitive skin gel

3) when done i usually lather it up again and just wipe it while in shower

4) buy some Vitamin E lotion (non-sented prob best), put on twice a day once right after shaving (when you're dry) and then at night before bed, so pretty much when you wake up and when you go to sleep, some ppl may be different cause of their skin what ever works for you

5) i usually shave once a week, but like i said depending on your skin you may be able to do it more frequent

thats pretty much it and yes you have to take your time with it, but hey it works, you get less irritation and much less redness down there

if you have any questions or concerns just ask

If you're not shaving when the skin and hair are warm and wet, that is likely one reason why you're getting irritation. The best time to shave is near the end of your bath/shower. Applying a hot washcloth to the area for several minutes also works, but I've never found it to be as effective as shaving in the shower or bath because the skin cools quickly once the cloth is removed.

Also, the more often one shaves, the more their skin gets used to it, and over time, irritation will decrease or stop occuring in most cases. Shaving more frequently also mitigates the itching that often happens when the hair grows back in.

In my experience, the type of razor and shave product makes a HUGE difference. We use a Schick Quattro razor and usually King of Shaves gel because trial and error has proven that combination to produce excellent results with little to no irritation. Most single and double blade razors don't work well for us, and get dull much more quickly than the four-blade Quattro, in our experience.

Rinsing the razor frequently (ideally, after one or two passes) is important, too.

With this routine, we shave against the grain with no problems. Your mileage may vary, but you may want to give some of these things a try because they seem to work for an awful lot of people.
