Hi everyone, I have written a story which has had positive feedback and several requests for more parts. I only ever had ideas for part one and I’m undecided on how to continue the story. I’ve pasted the link to the story below, please have a read and let me know:

1, Should there be a part two?
2, Do I start straight after the first story ends or leave a gap of a few weeks/a month?
3, What else should be in the next part?

I have some ideas but not enough for a full story.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Understand that readers here always ask for more. You can write 25 chapters and they'll say they want more.

The question is, do you want more? If you only see the story as being a one and done, then move on to another story and don't worry about what they want.

I agree with the esteemed authors above, but I'll play devil's advocate and give reasons why you should write a sequel. You have already created and established those characters, so picking up with them in a sequel won't require as much work. You've already got the setting, and your first story naturally leads into some kind of continuation. You just have to decide if there is a story there worth telling.

You have some ideas, but you didn't envision writing a sequel. So envision it. Think of that story. Then, if it compels you, write it.
