How Were Your High School Years?

A few weeks ago I found out that about 95-ish of my HS classmates are dead. I think that's a lot from the Class of '72.

Thor,

How many graduates in your class?

Had a little over 500 graduates in my Class of '65. And I'm not sure how many of them are gone. Hmm. Now I'm curious. I'll need to get in touch with our alumni association.

Here's an interesting little tidbit. Only 2 guys of the 260+ from my class were killed in Vietnam. A friend, same graduating year from a smaller town near us, had 23 killed there out of the 90+ boys graduating.

Middle school was a living hell of bullies and assholes. College drove me to drink to escape the leftist propaganda and political correct bull shit.

High school was a blast though. Loved it. Still keep in touch with some of the old friends.

I'd guess about 400 to 500. I could go count the names on the grad announcement pamphlet, but I've got other stuff to do.

In the high school I attended, it was a very big deal. The people would have to drop out of school and get married. The didn't absolutely have to get married, but they almost always did. unless one was underage and his or her parents refused to allow it.

You should have attended Vetteman's high school. Sluts who found themselves with a bun in the oven were "disappeared" for the school year. Out of sight, out of mind.

High School was a exercise to see how many times I could beat off to Phoebe Cates getting out of the pool..

I remember the collective "ooooh" in a low baritone voice from virtually every guy watching that movie when it was first-run in theaters.

Quiet. Went to a small private school. Graduating class had six people.

Too easy, and largely boring. The best of times and the worst of times. The only thing that kept me going every day was music and chorale classes and organizations. Oh...and the darkroom where I turned on the exhaust fans and smoked pot.

I took summer school every year and had finished all of my graduation requirements, with many classes and units to spare, by my junior year. Thus, bored stiff, and with most of my closest friends in the class before mine, I graduated after my junior year.

Still, there were some good times. Some good girlfriends and a secret boyfriend....so there was that.

I honestly hated my High School Years but looking back I did have some fun times and I do miss a few of my friends. :)

There was many pranks done on the Teachers from what I remember and one of my teachers kept us all inside the classroom until he figured out who super glued the porno tape inside of the VCR. It was hilarious at first but overtime I grew grumpy because I was starving, lol.

He was standing near his desk and just looking at us. "I know one of you's did it. Come on now! Don't be a coward!"

Anytime he left the classroom everyone was laughing so hard, lol!!

Eventually we got to go eat 20 mins later.

I hated high school. I guess hate is a strong word so I'll say I didn't enjoy h.s. I was an okay student unless it came to math. I did poorly in that subject. I'm just glad those days are over & I'm glad I don't have to ever go back.

I hated high school also. That's a strong word but, if anything, not strong enough. When I entered HS, I had thoughts of college, but that four-year experience was so foul, I wanted nothing to do with any further education once I got done with it. :(

Academically superb.

Athletically great (varsity basketball).

Family life chaotic.

Summer jobs taught me what I did not want to do in life.

Sexually naive.

I was a confusing contradiction. Graduating class of about 300, I was voted the nonconformist of my senior class. I would say I was not popular, others would disagree. I could easily move and be accepted amoung all social groups from the geeks, to the stoners, cheerleaders, jocks, metal heads etc, but I never fit with any, and generally shunned groups of jocks or cheerleaders as in groups they were so vapid. I was always drunk and stoned, but had excellent grades, AP courses and such. Tons of in school suspension but could not get out school suspension no matter how hard I tried. Never dated a high school boy, always preferred older. Outside of school I hung with an older crowd, inside I guess I would say I was the leader of the misfits. I prefered highly unique people who also didn't fit. I had complete contempt for authority and rage against any system or person who tried to control me or make me conform in any way. I sought rules to break. Rallied to get the poor punk 7 month pregnant chick to be Homecoming Queen just to spite a system that always elects the well to do Barbie cheerleader (she was aware and supported my plan, animals and men were against the rules, I checked, so she was the most "inappropriate" )

My mom just sent me a whole bunch of old pictures she scanned. There are a few of me in high school.

Oh my god, I look like the surliest teenage brat you ever saw. Somebody seriously should have beat my ass and saved everyone a lot of trouble.
