So in the example Jill gets to spout the hell of to Jack and LMM while maintaining a pristine Jill persona. Jill can continue to harass LMM until she runs her of the board without anyone else known that Jill is a jerk.

See, in this one (this is fiction too, by the way), one person was run off the board through harassment by the troll. The person who pretended to be the troll got to run someone off the board and still be generally accepted without being seen as a jerk.
