HP Laptop question

I'm having a yahoo chat with a fellow litster and I have seemed to push a button (or two ) and several of my keys have changed function...can anybody help me out and tell me how to change them back?

I would start with User's Guide that came with the laptop. It is usually small thin booklet that tells you the basics like what the different lights mean, what different custom keys do, etc.

umm crap i think i know what you mean... on your keyboard along with the letters of the alphabet there are different symbols on some keys right? i am guessing that the keys that have those symbols are the ones that are acting different? somewhere on your keyboard is a button that activates those extra functions. you have to find it and push it again. happy hunting.

Fixed it yet? Happened to me once and after a while I noticed that I had accidently hit the NUM LOCK key. That was all....

I have fixed it (un-intentionally) a number of times only to screw it back ip up It's working fine now....see, ?????
