I’m so old I remember…

I'm so old I remember
No inside plumbing
O my lord yes, the only indoor plumbing we had growing up was to the kitchen sink & my dad and I ran that line with hand tool's over half a mile from a mountain spring on an aunt's property. Thought I was in Heaven when I moved into my own place, omg.

We didn't have that. A well covered with a board and cinder block and a bucket with a rope dropped a d filled then pulled up.

I understand, did some work with the church I went to up in West Virginia bout 2008 and the family we helped still had no indoor plumbing. They walked to a creek to retrieve their water, brought so many memories back but you know it took us day's to talk the car into letting us run a waterline from a spring to their house, believe me I understand, their proud people. When we installed the hot water heater, I thought I saw tears in their eye's, makes you feel good inside.

Back in 1980 my grandparents were still using the outhouse on their family farm. That was the year they moved into town and had indoor plumbing for the first time.
