Nah, I ignored the stooopid comment, too. But you did miss the boat on your commentary on Golden's response. Golden WAS talking about banking in general, not just accounts being frozen in error.

I finally managed to secure a checking account. I still have to call this ChexSystems thingy once I get my consumer report and clear up all the BS they've got on me. At a different bank than the first one. So now I have money instead of a useless piece of paper with my name and some dollars written on it.

Glad you got that cleared up. I know it's maddening dealing with banks. I have direct deposit, can check my balance online 24 hours a day, and use my bank card instead of cash/checks. Works for me...!
