Can't relate, I am blessed with the confidence that no one can write exactly like me better than I can. Plenty of people will write plenty of better stories, for sure, but their narrative voice is unlikely to be the same as mine.

No worries, I picked up what you meant, but to be fair I do take shots at BTB genre on a regular basis, mostly because I don't feel they have a place here.

Posters here often speculate about other readers attacking their stories, but can rarely prove it.

I can, in at least one case. Or could. I no longer have the solid proof I once did, but the memory lives on accurately

I talked about a story in a post here. Someone who I shan't name, but is a topic of your post asked for a link to the story, which I provided.

This story had very few views and even less votes, so the result was more obvious than usual.

Within a matter of a very few hours after posting the link, the view and counts went up by one and the rating dropped significantly.

Draw your own conclusions.
