Quite louuuuuvely, Ms. A. My favorite band, as you obviously know. And that Rickerbacker 370/12 remains my favorite brand. Want one, though I could not do it justice, simply 'cuz. Collectionillity, or sumthing.

I am selling my Jetblack Rick 360/12 this week in fact. :D

Ooh ooh ohh! I love Ricks!

Um, PM the price and shipping charges.

Not serious. I'm not. Really.

Oh, idea, though...

What does Perdido
mean?
I dunno. Lost? Hey, it's just a guess. Never mind.

Now Flora Purim, awsome jazz singer, shows up, wearing some really odd wig. "Aliens Land in the Desert" is what it brings to mind.

Doo bee doo bee do sounds like some alien invasion thing.

I know. Paranoid.

I love Flora Purim.....and Airto. This girl was my first taste of South American jazz....(others may have been around for this woman).

Oh Sabina, you are so a girl after my own heart. As most people here who haven't lived in a cave for the past five years know, I am absolutely addicted to jazz. :)

And thank you, gentlemen and lady, from eagleyez and me for all that jazz you've been posting. We just got a new computer with a widescreen monitor and those clips look oh so copacetic. I'm in four/four heaven.

I may have posted this before, but I know Sabina hasn't seen it. It's titled Famous & Recognizable Jazz Artists, but it looks to me like it might be taken from the famous jazz documentary Jazz is Our Religion, filmed (I think) in the late 1940s. Whatever, it's mighty tasty stuff. Jazz is my religion, too.

For both you dolls, and sax lovers...here's a workshop

I have a friend in Africa, like right now.

Yeah, yeah. Corporate rock by studio musicians. So sue me. I always liked this one.

RIP Jeff Porcaro

A taste...of Lizz Wright

wonderful jazz singer....ran across on the "All Songs Considered" web site from NPR.

For all you music lovers, this is a great resource.... :)

Thanks TT
I like Tom Rush, never heard that tune before
He's written some great stuff, " No Regrets" being one of my favorites

Here's the version of " Ain't Misbehavin'" I sing her to get her to sleep
Aint Misbehavin

Call me a purist, but I prefer this version.

Aw heck, I just totally adore Fats Waller. How can you not love a guy who writes songs like This Joint is Jumpin and Your Feets Too Big?

One never knows, do one?

(That's really cute that you sing Ain't Misbehavin to L. Kinda reminds me of my dad reading me Damon Runyan at my bedtime.)

PS Manny rawks. :catroar:
