And here I thought I was the only one who lived on less than two hours a night. I get so frustrated I want to scream. I'm sitting here almost falling asleep but as soon as I climb into bed, my brain will start and my eyes won't close and I won't be able to get to sleep. I hate this.

I average about 3 hours in 24 hours. I have made peace with that fact that my body does not follow normal 24 hours patterns.

I need about 6 hours every 36 hours. And after 6 - 8 days I need 24 hours of quietude and sleep if it comes to me.

Wow. This thread is so old, it's retro. And I still can't sleep.

We've been holding your place of sleepless honor. Now that you're here, the poor minimum-wage earning placeholder can finally go sleep.

(missed you around here, BTW :rose: )

I have severe insomnia, its part of my ongoing "depressive issues" as someone close to me recently took to calling it. If I get to sleep before 4am, I should get *some* sleep. If not... *shrug* I don't drive or operate heavy machinery so y'all should be ok.

Hey, look over there!

*quietly drugs J-L's drink*

You'll thank me in 10-12 hours. :rose:

*snickers* I'm not allowed to mix meds or trust me, I'd be dosed to the eyeballs... I have vewwy strong anti-d's at the mo, and I'm not allowed to take anything else with them. Hell, I have to clear my painkillers when I have my period (that was a fun discussion with a male Dr, to which my final response was "Well we try having your bollox in a vice for four days straight, THEN you tell me I can't have my Mefenamic Acid")

But thanks for the thought Min

I've decided to test that theory about operating heavy machinery. I'm going to lease an industrial-grade agricultural tractor equipped with one of those big balers loaded with rows of steel spikes; then I'm going to pop an Ambien and mow the lawn.

I'll let you know how it works out.

I never even knew this thread existed.

Now I know where I can come during the night when I can't sleep and don't want to wake the gosling (as if.... ) with my restless tossing (don't!!) and turning.

I like the idea of a home for the insomniacs.

Okay, but if you use the thread you have to take the poll. Let's see those poll numbers bumped by one, missy, or I'll know you cheated.

It's conveniently located right next door to the home for psychotics, too.

And the Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital is just a few minutes away by Medivac helicopter.

No wonder this thread has lasted so long. Location, location, location.

I'm going to shoot cans off a fence with a rocket launcher after I drink a bottle of Nyquil.

Shoot me with a tranquilizer dart. Please.

Its 7am, my mother and sister just got up, and a cup of tea just appeared in my room.

Sometimes understanding can be better than sleep.

I never thought I'd thank someone for shooting me. :D

Abs, if we're on safari, I want one of those groovy hats. You know the big ones, the safari ones. And khaki shorts, too.

I've just got stupid body clock issues. Can't fall asleep before 4:00AM. The worst part is nights like tonight when I'm actually tired, so can't get my head around writing, so I'm accomplishing absolutely nothing. But if I go to bed now, I'll wake up in 3 hours and be worthless all day.

To be fair I'm that tired I probably missed...

... should I even bother attempting to sleep? I'll probably doze off on the fiance when he gets here.
