Like, I made a story that is 191 words long, but I can't post it because I currently can't think of other stories to make alongside it, and I don't want to artificially expand it.

Just hang onto it until you have enough to fill out the minimum word count for a submission. A microfiction category isn't happening, because there's zero call for it here from readers. There are sites where it works because short works are the norm, but that ain't here. People will downvote you for not going far enough into a second page — nevermind microfiction. LOL

Yea, just rework it into poetry, or write a few more 200-worders to make it a collection of bullet vignettes.

There is too much spam already with the 750-word event, so we're not about to lower the minimum word count.

Poetry already has fairly low submissions and lower traffic. We don't need a new section between Poetry and 750.

We have authors here complaining about the character limit in the story description field, and you want shorter stories to be permitted?

I am now curious what the title of your work would be, and if the short description of it would be longer than the story itself.

Literally nobody but the OP wants this. It's a horrid idea.

OP, I'll try to be helpful: once upon a time there was a respected poster here called OggBashan (RIP). At one point, he was left with several fragments of stories he'd been working on, vignettes if you will, and none of them came close to 750 words. So he combined those fragments into a multi-part submission, included a little blurb at the top explaining himself, and let those little microfictions out into the world as a sort of anthology.

You should do that, then report back and let us know whether readers liked it.

I've done similar with my two series on Literotica.

By craftily combining the individual episodes, I created larger compilations that got published on D2D and are doing well there and on Smashword.

I likely never would have considered purposely writing an anthology for publication, but the individual episodes, each written on their own with a shared theme, wound up working well when combined in the right order.

I bundled up 8 of mine that were all at 100 words into a anthology and posted them for shits and giggles, even though I knew they wouldn't do diddly squat here. I've done that with several short ( by Lit's standards ) sets of stories here. I've got a 3-piece, a 5-piece, and a few 2-fors. The mature category ones get posted as two story anthologies because there's enough readership there to make it somewhat worth it. If they all belong in EC, they get packaged wholesale for the bargain bin that category is.

This. Refashion into a prose poem, and if you want lots of eyes on it hang out on the Poets board and ask for reviews/views and recommendations.

Who are you marketing a 191 word story to? Premature ejaculators?
No, though I consider myself less of an erotica writer and more of a writer who explores ideas with erotic content. I don't make my stories with the idea of trying to get people off but to express myself and explore my feelings. Like my micro fiction "New Flesh & Old Blood" is a dark erotica about a trans witch creating an artificial feminine body for herself and then "exploring herself" while bathing in her old masculine body's blood.

Reformat and post as poetry. Just a thought.

Don't mind me or my wiseass comments, cant help it sometimes.

left a comment on the story thread, but it's definitely got potential if you just took some time to flesh it out a bit.
