Because I didn't read it, because I just got here, and I'm a bit nervous, and I don't understand why I received a PM in the first place, and I really just want to talk to a woman about things I haven't been able to talk to anyone else about, and I'm not sure how to go about that, but I suspect responding to you isn't going to help. I still receive random unprovoked PM's as I'm sure a lot of the other ladies of lit have to deal with. You can block them from sending any more. But I have found a straight out reply of "I'm not interested, good luck" Works with most.

I have to admit I've never received a pm like that and definitely never sent one. I do enjoy PMs and often wish I got more. But not what you've described.
