I don't get it ~

So it's true what they say: First impressions rarely fade. *nods*

Not at all. In fact, I was in a very heated debate with another Lit member on the GB when I first started posting there early last year. We went at each other really hard. We both scored points on each other ... and there were some subtle insults thrown in at times too. Many that observed that thread would think we're bitter enemies now. Far from it. She and I are very much friends. There is a healthy respect between us. Why? Because she didn't act the part of an antagonistic asshole. She is also quite bright, very intelligent, and a class act.

No. It isn't that first impressions rarely fade. It's that many times they get reinforced by future posts ... as is the case with you.

I'm sorry for getting off on the wrong foot with you and for any ill will that may still be between us, but I suspect you're viewing me through shit-colored glasses based on our previous interactions, because there are many other Litizens who appreciate my posts at the very least and some who consider me to be intelligent, sweet, well-informed, well-spoken and a credit to Literotica (among other positive things), including (but not limited to): Bent, Lorrie Flash, Mistress Pak, just pet...to name a few (those aforementioned persons please forgive me if I am inappropriately speaking for you).

Regardless, I would like to apologize again for anything insulting I have said or for any antagonism towards you or anyone else I have shown, and I hope that you would be willing to wipe the slate clean and start over or at the very least one day become civil acquaintances.

So, what do you say, "tabula rasa" (sp?) as it were?

I commented that you might be homophobic to make a point, to show how frustrating it is to have accusations leveled at you that are nowhere near accurate. Not so pleasant, is it?

That being said I am sick and tired of arguing with you and I won't discuss any of this any further.

Whatever dude, it's your story, make it as big as you want. Reminds me of the lyrics to a song though..."slip slidin' away".

Telling you, that IMO, you are a pompous, knee jerk reacting little pup is a LOT different than referring to me as being anti-gay.

Apologies accepted before do not mean that you have free reign to continue being as you were and are. *shaking head* You just don't get it. Your opinions get taken to task, it's an automatic assault on you. You refer to things affecting the GLBT community, and when confronted on them, refuse to provide any factual basis for your position. How in the hell would anyone look at that any different than I do?

I can take and give with the best here. If I am wrong, I'm honest and have the balls to say so. That is why I get some respect.

Has anyone ever referred to you as a bulldog??? Latching on and not letting go. Firey determination. Faithful and loyal to it's upbringing and experiences. Yet gentle and loving to it's master and friends. LOL! Guess that makes me a Rottweiler.

We had our moments when I first came here. Trying to make the young man understand the difference has and is a taxing proposition. I don't like to write anyone off though, until they deserve it.

I've got nothing personal against you. I've told you that before. If you're cool with people, then things will be cool with you. I think you can contribute a lot to discussions if you want. So far, your message has been getting lost in the wrapping.

Have I ever been referred to as a bulldog? Uh huh ... and a few other breeds. :D I can be very feisty and tenacious when I want to be. ;)

Look, I don't know what your problem is, but I admitted I was wrong on the issue you specifically refered to, and I guess you haven't been on the GB much, because people do see me differently from the way you do. In case you hadn't noticed, you don't know everything and the whole world doesnt revolve around you. But you seem determined to think I'm an asshole and to that end you only pay attention to the bad stuff and you ignore the good stuff.

Secondly, when my opinions get taken to task it is NOT an insult on me. Maybe you cant handle being debated with, but I'm not you.

Thirdly, discussing//debating and arguing/bickering are two different things. Like exchanging and engaging. One is a positive action as practiced by succesful people like salesmen and prostitutes; the other is a negative action, as practiced by losers like winos and judges.

I have no problem with you, as long as you are upfront and honest. Willing to listen and have an open mind to what others say. Willing and able to back up what you say with facts.

You're right, I don't play on the GB. My home is the PG. It is, IMO, a kinder and gentler place. R/L has enough assholes. I don't come to Lit. to look for more. My posts and history here on the boards are an open book. What you see is what you get. My way. Sometimes that puts me at odds with people who have problems with GLBT. That's not my problem and I am unapologetic for my support of us.

If I thought you to be unteachable....so set in your ways that there was no room for personal growth, beyond what I've seen, you'd have been on my ignore list a long time ago. The world definitely does not revolve around me. If you thought to provoke a rise from me by that, you are a silly young fool.

I love to debate in an open forum, I usually learn more than I teach. Really listening with an open mind is the key to that, IMO.

LOL! Your Thirdly I have no opinion on that I'll say here!

Hope I've clarified myself for you. Have a nice day.
