I Love Netzach's Av

I want to know what the fuck is a "Lit Persona?" I don't have one, a lot of the kids seem to be talking about them these days. Is this something I need?

I'm still very fond of one that Netz had up for the longest time after I started lurking here in the whips and chains corner. In it she was lying down looking up and slightly back toward the camera, which was over her right shoulder.

This, by the way, is a classic line:

I'm gonna go hide again, this feels like waiters singing happy birthday!

well, i love it too. it's one of the very special ones, up there with marquis' chair av and etoile's head on the pillow.

Seriously, what is your problem ?

People pay compliments in this Community because they like & respect the other party . I resent the premise of fawning. I don't do sycophant. If Netz decides to be offended, that's her business. I imagine you're most likely not a blip on the radar. Time will tell.

You may however consider me offended, I made my comment with sincerity and don't appreciate that which you have intimated by your post.

No problem at all. Netzach is a personality. A staple in lit if you will. Not that I suffer from Staple-envy mind you.

I had always been and will always be a believer in freedom of expression and view Lit as a wonderful place in which to do so regardless of whether my view is popular or not, accepted by the masses or not.
If you look closely at my intital text I told her that color was nice but the black and white ( in my opinion only ) seemed to represent the side she expresses here in Literotica more accurately.

In other words, I commented on her photo (kinda what this thread is made for..commenting on her picture, right?) and then paid her prior as well as current photo a compliment each.
Perceptions and current moods must have been what caused your anger and disfavor towards my post.
If I'm to apologize for anything, it would be that I nievely believed others viewed Lit's beauty and freedoms as I did.
I hope this helps clarify the situation.

Interesting.....we never "spoke" until I apparantly (and vicously) attacked someone favored by you. *smiles playfully and tilts head thoughtfully*

I see meeting others as an opportunity for new beginnings.
If sharing an opinion leads to new avenues of communication and meeting new people, is it truly so bad? You'd not have stepped outside your known circle of lit friends to talk to me had I not.

So maybe that's why I commented, and not to just get attention by tweaking a nipple or two.

Whatever anyone else says I love the new av netz. You look rather hawt, but that is just me talking again.

See the difference is that I did not start this little picture salon. I am sure there are people who find me highly unattractive physically, many. In fact I know it. I was a prodomme with an internet site - life was a pic feedback forum. I can take it. I can handle people thinking I look crap in a picture just fine, but what I'm about to object to is this horse shit "I am a victim of those who would shut down free speech" trend whenever anyone is accused of no tact or attention getting, or called on anything, or made in the least bit accountable for their whining, bitching, or whatever it is about their personality that makes everyone else feel like someone farted by the water cooler.

This is not some am pic feedback moment. It's a very good friend of mine saying "gee I like your perfume" which is, news flash, NOT an invite for other people to walk up and say "Christ I think she reeks." That's not a rule, it's a social commodity called tact, and saying "well we're outside the rules soooo much we can say anything, and should have only love and respect dribbled on us like pixie sugar" on Lit is horse dookie. You can definitely go outside the lines of tact - and there are consequences for it. Have the balls to accept that when you do it. I was raised by wolves and my mother taught me that much about how to deal with other people.

Freedom of speech doesn't mean you get to say anything and everyone applauds. It means you get to say anything and you are responsible for what you say and accountable for what you say.

It means when you're a dick people can say you're a dick. If you feel that strongly about your point it should be able to stand up to that.

But the minute anyone says "well that was rude" the best defense is always a martyr card and wanting another gold star on it. How dare anyone critique YOUR opinion? THEY are the enemy of freedom, you were merely doing as you have the right by saying whatever you want to pull from your ass that day - their *reaction* is wrong and you want to control IT - how insane is that?

I'm much less bothered by the fact that you don't like my arm-length snapshot than the fact that you are so patently doing the latter it's not funny. I have more respect for whackjob gadflies on the GB who at least say "this is my opinion and fuck youuuuuu!" than "oh these 950 people who slam me every week when I post my racist shitbombs are hurting my free speeeeeech wahhh."

Jesus. I feel like I'm channeling TB.

As an aside, this discussion seems to be leaning towards another Lit phenomenon. The one where Poster A makes a comment, Poster B makes a tactless comment in return, and when Poster C calls B on it in a similar manner, they start screaming "Free speech! Free speech!" So how come Poster B's tactless comment is is "Free speech! Free speech!" and Poster C's comment is not? Poster C is also stating their own opinion, in response to Poster B's opinion, yet B is somehow better than C? It'd be amusing if it didn't result in so much BS clogging up the boards. (And yes, I know that I've been involved in some Lit Drama before, and that it'll probably happen again even though I try to behave, but I do stay away from the "Free Speech! Free Speech!" game. Sauce for the goose and all that.)

But anyway, your av is hot but after reading your posts and conversing with you for several years, I have to say, your brain is hotter! And on Lit that's where the wheat is separated from the chaff.

Ha ha, this is fine business in here.

Netz, you're an animal babe, a fucking animal.

loooove the Monte Carlo SS...* drools only a little as it's not jet black with red pins*

And in regards to this post, hate me or ignore me for being non-fawning but you just look sleepy or high. The other one looked bitchy and more like your lit persona. Color is nice, but the black and white has a better effect. *drops the pennies and strolls like Huggy*

Just sayin.....

Black is very good.

I just like this one best of all her avs, better than the "bdsm" ones. She looks cuddly and sleepy, but in a cool carrie brownstein way. And the yellow is good "pop".

I'm well known for fawning over people, especially people who don't like me.

That sums up my entire Lit persona... I'm a Fawning_Mama.

In fact, I feel a new screen name and Lit persona developing, right before my eyes...

I've liked all your AVs, Netz. But I have to agree with the OP, this particular one is stunning.

sorry for the fawning... sometimes I just get carried away.

Speaking of fawning over avs, the Mini ADR one always makes me smile. :rose: The one now reminds me of those old Pears Soap ads in the UK, where they showed a cute little kid who was "growing up to be a beautiful lady".

I date myself by using that picture. I was born before 8 track tape decks, even.

aaaaaaaaaahahahahahahaha! Betcha don't even know what those are, do ya?

I'd love to see one of those ads you speak of, snowy. I don't think I ever have.

I know what 8 tracks are!

< hijack >

My parents had a bunch that my dad steadfastly refused to throw away, because he had a lot of stuff that was only released on 8 track or was in a limited release or something and too hard to find on vinyl or was never released in any other format. He always swore he'd find a way to put them on regular tapes or something but never got around to it. But anyway, he swore he'd never get rid of them. So when I was about 7 I decided to make some garlands for our Christmas tree, like the ones you make in elementary school for a project, where you use strips of red and green construction paper. But I wanted to be all fancy and stuff. So I used red and green ribbon, and these really neat shiny ribbons that I found in the hall closet. Because I didn't know what 8 tracks were at that point. I found out that evening when I gave my monster-piece to my dad to put on the tree. Mom says "where'd you find this weird ribbon?" "in the hall closet. It's called Moody Blues. I like how the colors shimmer in the light."

Um so, I knew then what 8 tracks were. My mom gave me 10 dollars, 5 for each cassette I killed.

And now most of that really bizarre stuff can be found on the binary groups on Usenet and dad can download it himself. I've been forgiven.

Also, Pear's Soap: http://www.pearsinternational.com/ . After you enter, there's a book showing the older ads. The slogan was actually "preparing to be a beautiful lady". The Wikipedia page is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pears_Soap . I noticed that they skipped the more politically incorrect ads on the Pear's Page.

I'm feeling quite benevolent today, so I'll just thank you for your reply.

As an exceedingly wise friend once said "speaks volumes" :rose:

Rosco....I appreciate your response. It met mine by simply stating preference. As if to say, "You like her black and white. Well I prefer this cute yellow, sleepy photo best." And it made me smile. Because that's all I wanted to do.
See you (I am guessing) know a different side of her so this photo (again, guessing) meets the feeling you have associated to the woman you know behind the scenes.

I don't have that insight unfortunately so I am unable to appreciate her arm's-length photo shoot quite as completely as you do.

For Ciara (whom I've complimented on her insight in past threads) shot at me indirectly because I spoke of a friend in a less-then-glowing light. *reached for the tissues & passes 'em down*

Now Netzach, I don't drop F-bombs because people disagree.
( I always felt rather childish and immature in the past when I've done it. Never felt it represented the intelligence that I knew I posessed).
I don't hide behind Board-politics or room pressure to go along with click conformity. So what if I have an unpopular possition? Boo-effing-hoo. Too bad if someone wants to get "emotionally wounded" because I dissented. *reaches for the box and sends them down the line in another direction..communal cleanex!*

If your posts have shown me anything about your personality traits Net, I'd say you enjoy the attention this threads is generating despite the views posted anyway. Going with the docterine "Bad publicity is still publicity".
* grinz and enjoys this interaction for what it is...people talking and connecting *

I disagree with your views Ciara. And that's alright. But I don't see the need for a "familia" mindset in here where "you pick on me you pick on my whole family". She's a big girl. She can obviously handle herself.

* keeps stirring *

Boy this is turning out to be one big bucket of poo.

*wipes sweat from forehead and accidentally leaves behind a poo streak and doesn't realize it *

See when I came in all noobie I had those "rose colored glasses" on where everyone was open minded and shared views indescriminately. (infact I'm so new I still don't know how to spell check or do multiple quotes which is a sin to some I guess)

I didn't see the playground groupings of who's with who and who hates who. *rolls eyes*

I just saw a group of people who share a passion for kink and the expression thereof. And to me that was hot.
I go to the "New faces Come Say Hello" thread and I wonder if there shouldn't be an adendum
"Pick your clicks to side with, choose wisely because who you're affiliated with and how you approach the "elders" here will determine your exposure and likeability, your reference in other's threads and being quoted in things such as the ever-popularity-deciding "Calander 'o Past Posts, 2008"

Ostricise me for this post.
No worries. Life isn't a popularity contest so I really don't mind losing miserably. There is more to my existance then lit. It's why I don't post much.

I come here because I enjoy the connection and the sharing of views with like (as well as unlike) minded people.

This is a good place to talk just as long as we leave the inner-politics out of it.
(another Lit phenomenon Ciara. Wonderwoman's a good pick. I never thought about the amount of bondage she represented until I got older. Although that metal corset always made me wonder if it ever dug into Linda Carter's breasts as she ran all slow-mo-y)

See? It's completely possible to have different opinions and still speak civil to one another.
If it's my delivery or lack of "tact" then send me a private message and say "Hey, are you angry at Netzach or something? I know we don't talk but I was just wanting to find out your thoughts and intent before I blast you on main."

Now THAT is tact. *winks*

As an exceedingly wise friend once said "speaks volumes" :rose:

That is grace.
Matches the feeling of peace I get whenever I see that avitar of yours.

I'm not out to shake things up or gain noteriety as "the prick who picked on Netzach".
I really just enjoy interaction and intelligent conversation with a bit of debate mixed in to spice things up.

It does speak volumes Rebecca. :rose:
Very much so. *smiles peacefully and thinks maybe this isn't such a bad place afterall*

Who cares who likes her AV and who doesn't? I'd bet the farm (if I had one and someone to run it) that Netz doesn't.

I'm sure she's flattered that her friend started a thread about it and I'm sure she has liked the positive comments but I'm also sure that she's lost no sleep over who does or doesn't like any of her AVs.

That's not her style.

I mean, com'on... if you have to stir a pot, find another one. This is a pretty silly thing to get all wrenched up about.

And don't hand me any fucking Kleenex. You might be left with a bloody stump if you do. ;-)

I'm in a mood... and guess what? I'm not sorry.

Twysted -- you have missed one important point in Netzach's reply to you. This thread was started by a friend to tell her "hey - I think you av rocks". This is NOT, as Netzach clarified it to you already, an invitation for you to come in and say "actually, i think your new av sucks". Like me saying to a friend that she looks gorgeous today is NOT an invitation for the person next to me to come in to say that actually, my friend looks like shit today.

You are sure free to think that Netzach's new av sucks. But the difference between thinking it and coming in this thread to make a statement about it is that you show yourself to be an ass.

Yeah, you're right. It's my *cabal* the board *cabal* and I don't want you in.

Smoke much crack?

Bumping this is embarrassing, but I really find the implications that everyone is somehow *following* my lead or something insulting to them. As said, I really could give a rats ass, but the principle that tact doesn't apply to you because you're new and soooo maverick (gag) that you can say whatever you want AND that everyone else is some kind of sheep - off base. Seriously off base. It's not me that's owed any kind of apology. You've really got a lot of other people quite wrong here.

You can accuse me of publicity seeking all you want, you could not be more wrong. Most people will honestly tell you that if they can say anything about me it's that I'm pretty unwilling to back down when it's a principle, even if I'm friends with the person whom I'm disagreeing with - yeah I have ego tied up in this, but it's not about my face. I'm brutally uncompromising about two things:

being oneself and free speech

and when those things become an excuse for any jackoff and their lame behavior they become less defensible and therefore we all suffer for it a bit. News:

you are not being the cool girl not invited to prom, you are just being a jerk.

you are not "expressing an unpopular opinion" you are insulting people then daring to try and control how they respond.

the handful of people disagreeing with you or telling you you are being a jerk? Not a cabal, not enemies of free speech, just people who are responding.

If seven people tell me I'm an asshole I might start to question myself. If it's one and they have on a tin foil hat or if it's seven and they all work for the same beaurocracy I might just carry on.

<< lots of rambling blather and weird assumptions. tissues? familia? huh? >>

Thanks for demonstrating my point so beautifully.

Rosco posts a "Netz has a hot av" post.

Several people agree.

You come in and disagree and stir the pot.

People disagree with you on that.

You cry "Free speech! Free speech! I'm allowed to disagree!"

People comment on that.

You post this wild thing rambling thing.

Apparently some people are allowed to post an opinion and others aren't?

No hard feelings here; I actually find the situation kind of funny. But I have a bent sense of humour that way.

I just don't feel that agreeing that Netz has a hot av is cliquish behavior. She has a string of hot avs. Because I'll compliment an av even if I don't know or like the person. Thanks for the comment on my av btw. Shyguy made it for me, so all the kudos go to his bad self.
