I miss the Alpaca

As does Monroe! Stopped there twice for some reason.

Sounds like your route, except continuing on from Atlanta through to Charleston, SC. Did the big I-20-for-a-day-and-a-half thing too. Damn that weather was bitter - or so it felt when running around a parking lot at 1:30 AM trying to get two dogs to pee, damnit, pee NOW.

Thank goodness for the CD set of "The Chronicles of Narnia." I came out fresh as a daisy and wishing that I had another couple of hours to finish "The Last Battle."

I wonder if I saw you somewhere along the way!
Neat, hunh?

I listened to music, called a couple of friends, and listend to 6 hours of Edgar Allen Poe, some of which was read by Vincent Price!

I saw a couple of llamas, but they didn't look like you. Did you see the camels on the way through Texas?

Price sounds like an excellent choice. "The Last Battle" was read by Patrick Stewart, and he did a brilliant job of it.

Back all the faster for the promises of paddocks, padlocks, and paddles! Seems to me that many of them involved a gosling as well ;)

Mmmmm. Lay on, MacDuff!

(And, of course, special kisses to that delightful German Shepherd.   )

Shanglan

Glad to see you back, Shan  All the more for the alliteration. :D

Delighted to see you as well, gosling! And don't think I've forgotten:

Oh wait, I see now... you said padlock.

Never mind.

Whatever it takes...

Mmmm. What, precisely, *does* it take? ;)

Polishing the paddles and padlocks presently... ;)

I do believe that's my first encounter with an alliteration fetishist.

Does it work for all letters, or only for "P," oh gorgeous and gregarious gosling of the gilded wit?

(And does one gain extra swoons for carefully using only soft "g" sounds to heighten the effect?)

Hmmm I'm not sure. Let's give it a little trial run of an hour or so and find out ;)

I'll have to take a rain check. It's bedtime for goosey.
