ICE Shoot International Press with Rubber Bullets in LA

I agree. The US government has never been what it claims to be. It has always supported this. General Smedley Butler wrote War is a Racket long before most of us were even alive and the US still does the same shit today.
True. And with the current reichadistration constructing a new legal framework for the state that circumvents every domestic, legal restraint on its activities, you shouldn’t expect the military hardware [tanks, helicopter gunships, etc. to go home any time soon.

With what it has planned, the regime knows that the hardware, Marines, Guard, drones, AI surveillance, etc. will all be very necessary.

You seem to be the only one to know what the hell your point is. What I do know is the optics of the the day will swing middle America toward deportation. You lefterners will be looking at each other wondering what happened. :)
How did the optics of Jan 6 swing you?

If I have learned anything from MAGAtards, it's that violent protest should be rewarded with pardons.

Don't be silly, there will always be xenophobia in the US (and every other country). But the Republicans aren't going to turn the public any harder towards deportation, because they've already been hitting that issue too hard for too long. They're maxed out. Seeing the national guard firing at protestors - even rubber bullets - is not going to sell well with anyone who wasn't already firmly in Trump's corner.
It's not the Republicans doing anything. It's not the rubber bullets. It's pictures of burning cars and foreign flags on all media platforms. I told you you wouldn't get it. :)

Is it just certain immigrant flags you don’t like or all?

Just want to make sure you’re opposed to all those that celebrate their heritage and cause damage

This doesn't get as much attention as it should, but for the last couple of decades -- through Dem and Pub administrations -- the DOD has been supplying local law-enforcement agencies with military-grade hardware. Stuff that would be overkill even against drug cartels.

Like they're preparing for something that isn't ordinary crime.

Military-grade hardware became a "thing" after 9/11. Local law enforcement jettisoned their longstanding "to protect and to serve" mantra in favor of "to protect ourselves and serve up summary 'field justice'" as their motto.

The small-ish city I lived in back in Georgia somehow managed to get ahold of a South African "Urban Assault Vehicle" that the South African government donated to the USA when the US was developing the HumVee. The police department website had lots of "training videos" online showing gleeful untrained police bubbas roaring over everything and leaving destruction in their wake.

Then "defund teh police" came around and the videos mysteriously disappeared. I reckon the po-pos still have their assault vehicle stored somewhere.

LAPD Mounted Division use their horses to trample a protestor when they don't think anyone is looking.

Guess these officers have never heard of "drone cameras"?

No one should throw stones at police cars, but this sort of cowardly "summary justice" from horse cops makes it very difficult for me to feel sympathy for any police horse that "accidently" takes a non-lethal rubber bullet round in its backside.
Makes my blood boil. Idiots in uniform acting out of control. They are not defending; they are the reason people are protesting with this type of cowardly attack against an unarmed individual.

Point of order here.

You’re technically not wrong, just, your terms aren’t correct. The DoD doesn’t “supply” LEO’s and their offices, but does provide a pathway for them to acquire hardware through proper channels. Usually by way of purchasing obsolete equipment, gently used though and still operational. Sometimes excess new and modern equipment.

You and I can take advantage of this system also. The Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO), allows us to buy everything from lumber, copper wire, stainless steel kitchen implements, and a worn out 20mm barrel off an AH-1F Cobra I picked up for $10! I think they changed the name to DDMA now.

Police like water cannons, but water is too precious there to squander on idiots. Flamethrowers would fit the occasion with so many fires already started, but accidentally igniting some buildings, destroying entire neighborhoods, and trapping themselves in a fire would make awkward PR. So they use rubber bullets until the bigger toys are approved.

The dystopian lunatic’s fantasies are becoming more violent.

Seek help, Cherno.
