Welcome to the board. I'm sure you'll have a great time here, and probably get addicted to it, if you aren't already!! I'm talking from experience ;)

Like Wierd Harold I had a semi-permanent paid girl friend when I was stationed in Korea. And before that I did engage several prostitutes at various times. One of them was my first sexual experience.

I am not real proud of my behavior in those days, but it was something that we all did at that particular time and place. Now that I have had real, loving sex with a woman that I care deeply for, I would not do it again, even if I found myself single again. It just would not be as satisfying.

I was lucky in that it was before HIV, and the worst thing you could get could be cured with a simple shot.

What a bunch of bs! DCL CL and the new kid are the only ones here who really seem to care if they are truthful. Would you pay for sex? Almost everyone has in one way or another. Before I got married I went to Vegas and visited one of the establishments, just to see what it was like but I have been to Mexico many times with folks who partook of the wares offered. If as a man you take a sweet young thing out and drop a wad of money on food, drinks, and entertainment do you expect her to at least be somewhat appreciative? Are you trying to buy sex? Oh no just trying to show her a good time so she will show you one right?

Ladies I love the fact that you are well mannered but what are the odds that I will get some tonight if I take you out for a burger and then we watch a rented movie at my place?
Okay how about osyters and steak then we dance the night away at the new place and stay in a hotel downtown rather than drive back to one of our apartments? Like it or not we all have a price and if you don't believe it just ask one of the lawyers that handles diviorces.

Now Whisper dear once before I asked for a dance (or a show) so how about dinner dancing and we watch the sun rise tommorrow?

Take it off!

Could you ever strip? How far would you go? Would you enjoy it or would it be strictly for the money?

What I posted was the absolute truth.

I'm reasonably sure that my "rent-a-wife" wouldn't have stayed with me if she hadn't been paid. However, there was no specific "contract" that said she had to sleep with me to get paid either. She was paid for housekeeping and cooking, not for the sex.

You are correct that almost all sex is for some form of remuneration, but "social" conventions are not what the question is about. The question is, would you pay a prostitute for sex. The implication is "would you enter into a verbal contract for cash in exchange for sex?"

My answer to that is I haven't so far, and after fifty-one years, I think I understand my needs and wants enough to say I probably wouldn't.

That is not to say that I wouldn't give a casual lover a gift of some sort to show my appreciation for a good time, or be above expecting sex after an expensive evening. I just wouldn't be crude enough to put the relationship in blunt terms of a stated contract. (i.e. "I'll give you fifty bucks if I can fuck you.")

I seriously doubt I would for a lot of reasons. First of all, it's not me. I am a romantic. As long as I have hands, I can wait for someone at least a little special. Hell, I've waited 20 years! (75% choice, 25%shyness.)

Then there's the cost. I can't bare the idea of handing our 100's of dollars for such an empty experience. To me it's a waist.

However, having said that... I don't see it as a problem for those who choose to pay for it. I just feel sorry for the girls sometimes. I know there are a lot of reasons to get into it, and not all of them are for drugs and absolute necessity. But when it is about that, I couldn't think of a sadder way to make a living.

Let us be honest boys and girls

OK, as Dixon pointed out, in Nevada prostitution is legal. You can get laid from $25 up to thousands. In fact if you go to a place called "The Bunny Ranch" you can have sex with a "porn star" if you care to pay the fee.

Also, Amsterdam, Holland. Now there is a place where every flavor of sexual desire can be fufilled.

So lets see, last I heard the porn industry in this country generates around 8 billion dollars a year. That is not including prostitution, illegal or legal.

Now if we put a dollar bill in a strippers G-string, are we paying for sex?

I for one will admit, in my life I have paid for sex 3 times and enjoyed it. I see nothing wrong with it as long as it is consensual.

There are way to many sides to this issue and I think I could write a book on the subject...lol just with my opinions.

I intended for the question to be about cash for sex. I should have clarified that from the beginning. Sorry about that!

Fallen, where have you been? I've got my dancin' shoes on, and all I need is a skilled partner. I love a firm hand on my waist and a man's hot breath on my neck. <shivers with delight> As for watching the sun rise - I'd rather see something else rise...

ShyGuy

Thanks for the welcome, I have been reading the responses here and would rather email but unfortunately you do not wish to receive them from here lol. From the other responses not dealing with the topic, I am to assume that saying my thanks to you under this topic is okay. I just might become addicted...depends on the topic.

On another note.......

Well live and learn...as someone stated apparently I am only one of few responses who seem to have offered the truth on the topic. Was I too truthful? Maybe I should have kept my experiences to myself. I will try to curb myself in that from now on, lol, I said try; its the redhair, I just have to speak on a topic that interest me or that I feel relates to me; the truth is the only way to do so.

Also,

Whisper...thanks for the email I appreciate your response. You were correct, the original email address I had put on here was incorrect, sorry about that. I have changed it to the correct one. I am also looking for the your ebook, good luck and happy writing.
