I'm going in to the deep woods

Have fun. Great age for the kids. In a few years, they'll be too busy with their own plans so it's good to share that with them now.

Haven't been able to go out kayaking since I hurt my back last summer and miss it.

Have a blast there big guy. It sounds like fun. (I'm thinking of doing a several day trip through the "Glades this winter, we'll see how things work out.) Let us know how it goes.

What's the difference between kayaking and canoeing? Between a kayak and a canoe?

P.S. If you find a lake that needs a name, there is no Lake Shereads as far as I know.

If you find a nameless hill, even better. Mount Shereads.

:D

Ooooh, pics would be nice of cantdog humpin up Mount Shereads and plantin his flag on top (hope he don't have to be rescued by one of them dogs with a keg of brandy) or wait, pics of that too.

:nana:   :nana:

There are river kayaks that are more of an extreme sport and made for white water. Then, there are ocean kayaks that explore the coast and islands. Easier to paddle than canoes and faster but not as stable.

Sorry, there was supposed to be a picture that's being stubborn.

Welcome back, cdog. Are you prepared to answer the inevitable question about bears and what they might or might not do in the woods?
