Imprint. (Closed for FireyIce)

“So, with this imprinting stuff,” Ian began to ask, “Does that mean you were attracted to me at first sight, or just that it’s what your werewolf self was attracted to?” He was sure the question sounded just as strange as him mentioning that she was a werewolf. He could feel the gravity of the situation start to slowly sink in as he walked over past her and sat on the bed. There were a few questions that he was curious about, no doubt that they would lead to more.

“Why doesn’t anyone change others anymore?” As he looked outside, he noticed that the moon wasn’t full. “So, you can also just change on command? Does it hurt?” Ian was still a bit in shock from everything and figured only a few questions would suffice. Part of him wanted to call her over to him, though the other part was worried as to what she would do if he did that.

She visibly relaxed as he sat on her bed. He was willing to talk, at least ask questions. She listened as the questions started to flood out. Slowly she got up and went to her dresser, pulling out pajamas. "I think you're cute, I am attracted to you."She donned the oversized sleep shirt that hit her midthigh and pulled on a pair of boyshort-style panties. "The imprinting is more like... Gravity pulls me to you. I am yours."

Samantha leaned back against the dresser, watching him look outside. "There's no reason to change regular people. Yes, I can change on command. It doesn't hurt anymore. It used to when I first started." She smiled again, this one a little brighter than the last, and she even chuckled. "And before you ask, we don't howl at the moon. The only times we really are if we're out in the woods and we need to find each other, for celebrations, or mourning a loss."

Ian watched as Sam got up and got some clothes out. There was a small disappointed look on his face, though, aside from the fact that they had just had sex, it would be understandable based on the current developments. “So, you can only enter my mind when you turn into a wolf?” Ian inquired as he watched her finish getting dressed for bed. There was a sigh of relief when he mentioned that it was on her own free will that she was interested and attracted to him.

It took a moment for it to register, but he was a bit surprised when she said that she was his. “Like, I own you now? Like a pet?” he tried to say with a sense of humor, still trying to make light of the situation. He was still a bit freaked out inside, but he was starting to feel less panicked and a bit more comfortable. “I guess it makes sense that you don’t howl at the moon all the time, or your cover might have been blown a long time ago. A house of mostly wolves all howling at the same time…” he allowed his voice to wander off with his thoughts.

“So, Jason is the Alpha,” he said as he started to wonder more. “Is he going to be less suspicious of me now that we’re bonded?” Ian wondered as he watched Sam walk over and sit next to him on the bed. “Are the rest of the others going to be cool with me?”

"I don't know. Some of the others are able to do it all the time, some only when they've changed. And no, not a pet." She clenched her jaw. "More like... A soul mate kind of thing. I'm your friend, lover, girlfriend. Whatever you choose. But if you want to leave, I'd understand..." she trailed off, not wanting to think that was an option.

Sam sat next to him and fiddled with the hem of the sleep shirt. "He was never suspicious of you, he's just protective of the pack." She looked up at him and shrugged. "As long as you're not an ass, everyone should be fine with you for the most part." Tentatively, she reached for his hand and held it. "I am still me," she reassured him. "I can just do a cool shape shifter trick," she joked back.

As he heard Sam mention that she wasn’t a pet, but gave out other options, he figured he could get around the idea. It did feel strange to him that this person, who he only met a day ago, was going to be in his life for the rest of their lives. He had wondered what it would’ve been like if she never saw him. It was a strange feeling, him wondering what the rest of his life was going to be like with someone else being there.

When he heard the possibility of him leaving, he looked a bit shocked. “Oh, no, no, no I’m not going to give up access to a comfortable bed, which comes with my choice of a friend, lover or girlfriend on it. That’s just stupid,” he said trying to make light of the situation. He knew that the bombshell had landed on them, yet he wasn’t entirely sure how it would affect them, if it even should.

He felt her hand grab his as she made the shape shifting joke. “Hmmm I wonder,” Ian began to speak in a fairly playful tone, “Can you do a magic trick where I’m missing my pants?” He looked into her eyes as he waited for her response, “And on a more serious note, should I be getting to know the others? Since we’re still going to be dating and all,” Ian added as he wanted to make sure to stay on everyone’s good side. The thought of him having to deal with a house full of wolves wasn’t as appealing as it could’ve sounded.

She gave a heavy sigh of relief when he said he wouldn't leave, the weight of the whole situation finally lifting off of her. She then gave him a side eyed look. "You mean find them for you?" She wrinkled her nose. "If you lose your pants, that's your own fault." Feeling more relaxed, more comfortable again, she leaned against him, resting her head on his shoulder. "I'm sure you'll get to know everyone the more you come over. Everyone is pretty harmless if that's what you're worried about."

Ian stroked her hair as she leaned against him. After a moment, he moved his hands down and undid his pants, taking them off. “Do you ever shift in your sleep or before you go to sleep? Or do you just sleep better as a person?” Ian figured these would be the last few questions he would ask her for the night. No doubt the conversations would have to be in a more private setting, which he understood why. As he tossed his pants to the ground, he laid down on the bed, pulling Sam with him.

“Maybe a dinner party?” He suggested as she mentioned that everyone else would get use to him being around. For some reason he figured there might be a good chance he would end up staying in the Kappa Nu house a lot more, especially if she was drawn to him to a high degree as he thought might happen. Ian held Sam close as he pulled the covers over them, realizing it was still fairly late out.

She snuggled into his chest as they laid down and he pulled the covers over their bodies. "No, I haven't changed in my sleep since I was... 14?" she guessed. "But yes, I sleep better as a person. And even better with you here." She kissed his jaw, giving a gentle smile. "Stop worrying about if the others will like you. If they don't then that's their problem."

As they laid there in bed, he pulled the covers up near them. “Is the rest of your family wolves also?” Ian inquired while feeling her lean up against him. “I’ll try to not worry,” he promised as they started to fall asleep. Ian was wondering how tomorrow would go, knowing that he’s seen some of the people and knowing their secret.

As strange as the night was after the sex, Ian didn’t seem to have much of a problem falling asleep. He did feel bad though, knowing he would be up early again and that Sam wasn’t a morning person. “Night,” is all he managed to say as he fell asleep, trying to have the rest of the night go by without a problem.

It was a bit later in the morning as he woke up, still feeling Sam next to him. He was still trying to get over the fact that she was a werewolf. Rather than worry about getting to class on time, he decided to just lay there, waiting for her to wake up this time.

"My dad, brothers, and sister are. My mom is not," she answered, starting to sound sleepy. Oddly enough, or wasn't long after Ian fell asleep that Sam drifted off as well.

At some point in the night she'd rolled away from hin. She still stayed close, laying on her front with a hand resting on his shoulder. She felt him move and slowly she stirred, stretching a little. But he stayed, unlike the morning before. She peaked st him with eyes that were still heavy with sleep before burying her face in the pillow. Her voice came muffled, husky with sleep still. "Morning..."

Ian let out a small laugh as she said morning to him. “Good morning to you too, sleepy,” he teased. Though he wasn’t sure when he was up, he figured it was a bit before Sam started to wake up. Luckily, his classes weren’t for a while.

For a while, he let her just lay there, trying to either sleep or process the idea of waking up. He wasn’t entirely sure of what one it was. Though, he eventually wrapped his arms around her body and pulled her closer to him. “I’m sorry if I freaked out a bit too much last night,” he admitted as he turned her head to him and gave her a kiss on the lips. As he apologized, he moved his hands up under her shirt and started to feel her breasts. Ian was hoping that she would wake up a bit easier knowing that he was trying to at least more pleasant for her.

“Any plans for after classes today?” Ian inquired as he watched her start to come around. He figured at some point today he’d see about taking a suitcase of his clothes over to here. It was also going to be strange telling his roommate he was going to be living in the Kappa Nu house for part of the semester. There would surely be questions as to how he managed to pull that off, he thought.

She laid there for a short while, floating that fine line between slumber and consciousness. Then Ian pulled her closer, apologized, and kissed her. She smiled against his lips at the apology, and the groping of his hand under her shirt woke her more.

"It's okay, you had every right to be freaked out." She kissed his jaw and then his neck. This was a wake up call she could get used to. "Sams thing as every other day of the week. School, study, jump you," she said with a slightly implying tone.

Ian let out a soft moan as she mentioned the last option in Sam’s list. “I won’t mind the last task,” he said, “As long as I don’t get mauled.” He was hoping that Sam would realize he was trying to joke around, make any lingering tension a bit easier.

He decided to just lie in bed for a while as they both struggled to get up. Once he decided to, he looked down at her. “God, you’re beautiful,” he said genuinely as he began to get dressed. “I’m going to head to class, go get cleaned up and see you in a few hours,” he added as he finished putting his shoes on. He figured he would wait until their anatomy class to find out if he should bring some of his stuff over, to make things a bit simpler for them, mainly himself.

He leaned down and kissed her on the forehead as he got ready to leave and head to class. It was a few hours, though it felt longer before he managed to get into the anatomy class and found a seat in the back, allowing a chance for them to talk without looking too suspicious.
