Hi all,
I've read the FAQs, hopefully this is the right place. :) I found this site while browsing through a "biggest forums" website and thought I'd check it out. I began reading and something that has been playing on my mind hit me hard after reading one thread. I'm so embarrassed to even post this.... I'm literally dying in my chair. I'm in my early twenties... male... virgin... never even been with a girl on any level, however that isn't the problem here. When I was younger I remember getting an erection and sometimes I could see the tip of the penis. As time went on I never saw it again.... I always assumed it was because I'm not circumsized. Back then I was thinking, what if I had sex... it seems as though the motion would pull the foreskin back too far and it would hurt. I never gave it any thought until today.

I did some googling and found a pic of an uncircumzied penis. Well I was shocked to say the least and began to tremble.... I still am. My penis is nothing like this. When I get an erection I can't even see the hole on the head of the penis. It dawned on me that my foreskin is far far far too long. To this date I haven't had any problems.... but really I've only masturbated. There are times when, after urinating, urine still comes out and I get a burning sensation. Now I'm thinking this isn't normal. I guess my only option is to go see a Doctor.

A couple of things here though, firstly, how was I meant to know? Was I being a bit naive about this situation? It's not as if us guys sit around discussing it.... in porn I always see the exposed head of a penis but always thought they were circumsized or had work done. What happens to the next generation of males that have my problem? How do they even know it's a problem? Hell, if I hadn't found this forum I would have kept ignoring it. More questions.... what if I went to have sex, would it have hurt? Also, is this something that needs to be checked out or is it normal? At this point I'm thinking it's far from it.

What should I do? At the moment I just want to cry hehe. Requiring an operation would just be a nightmare, absolute nightmare. To get a little more serious.... I can't imagine my penis looking any other way... any change would scare me. hehe

Anyway, any advice or recommendations... please post.

Thanks.

First of all, there is absolutely no reason for you to be embarassed about your problem or asking about it.

Next, YES do make an appointment to see a Dr.

Question for you: Have you ever tried to pull your forskin back at all? You should be able to retract it fully, so the head of your penis shows fully.

Have you ever cleaned under your foreskin? Your Dr will tell you that this is a must do on a daily basis.

Maybe some others will also reply to this as well.

good luck!

Hi jhaltre, and welcome to Lit!

First of all: relax. Even if you have a light 'problem' with your foreskin it is most likely something that can be fixed fairly easy. But you should go see a doctor. You are certainly not the only one so you should not be embarrased or anything. For your doctor it's standard procedure probably.

Penisses are so very different. I like this site very much where you can see them in all sorts of shapes and sizes, flaccid and erect. Most of the men I've been with were not circumcised and if and how far their foreskin would pull back by itself when they got an erection varied a lot. So there is no need to think anything is wrong when your penis is erect and the foreskin still covers most of the head. I took three examples from the site I linked to that are good examples I think.

But... you should be able to pull it all the way back. If it's too tight to do that a fairly simple (and not too painful as I understand) procedure can be performed. In some cases (but by far not all) full circumcision is necessary. And that, too, is a standard and every day procedure for doctors so you still would not need to worry at all!

Hope the doctor from the other thread (you probably read) comes in here too to ease your mind and give you some real expert advice.
