Incest is Best

Yeah... it's hilarious when the 18/19, I think I saw 21 once, year old son of sound mind, body, and even has a drivers license... needs their mom to show them how to masturbate... many times.

It's a known fact that before the internet, small groups of young men were found with their pants down, dicks hard, and passed out on their bed or toilet with a big ol' knot on their head and bottles of lotions, Vaseline, or even baby oil next to them.

The culprit was too much lube on their cocks.

It was often left for the mothers to correct because their fathers were too busy dying of laughter.

I enjoy writing for the category, I just wish that some of the readers there would be a bit more open minded and accepting of stories that are different from normal.

This can be stories with a more involved plot than one usually finds, one where the IT combination is one that doesn't come up as much, stories that focus more on voyeurism or desire, fetishes or ones where the characters are not blood-related such as step family and in-laws.

It's kind of a paradox as there are so many different themes and IT combinations that can be used in this category, yet in my experience of them some of the readers there tend to be the least imaginative and accepting of new and different ideas.

As long as Incest is put at the forefront of your story, you can write any combination of genres and plots you want. People come to Lit to fulfill a craving and as long as that initial craving is fulfilled, you can write any story you want and they will love it.

Lit is about sex, not the next great novel, that's what book stores are for, and even then, they're expecting their favorite genres to follow certain formulas that they know and enjoy. And, someone on here will say, but that's not me, and good for you, but we're talking about the majority of readers that come to this website. The proof is in the numbers.

The feedback that's intrigued me has been from readers who are disappointed when the mother in an incestuous relationship isn't loyal to the (usually) son.

Never had any complaints about male characters who sleep with multiple partners.

The idea of conventional sexual mores attaching to such transgressive fantasies is peculiar. IMHO.

I have this theory, and bear with me, because it's WILD, but perhaps... just perhaps... all the dudes stroking with one hand and holding their bibles in the other, getting bent out of shape about women not being exclusive to a male main character while simultaneously thinking nothing of male characters having multiple partners for themselves-- or, in fact, let's broaden the scope, because the same kind of attitude exists in society as a whole-- all the guys who see dudes who sleep with tons of women as the manliest Chads, but girls who sleep with tons of dudes as nasty whores, juuuuust maybe, aren't really upset about loyalty or traditional mores so much as upset about women not being subservient and controlled by a man? I know, I know, it's a CRAZY theory! Totally out of left field and unlikely, really, but still... thought I'd put it out there.

You're completely right.

Any time a woman does what she wants not what she's supposed to(and who decides what supposed to is? Oh, right, men) it sets a lot of men off and sad to say that faction of man baby sexist incels is getting larger and larger in society itself which is why you see it more here. LW used to be the only place you really saw that attitude but over the years the turds have gotten out of the cat box, and I see that attitude showing up in more and more comments across the board.

People think I'm trolling when I say this, but for those willing to think on it, you see its right there.

Go look at the February Sucks phenomenon and how many times its been rewritten and the defense of why it should be rewritten. The reason is because an author wrote a male believe story about a wife who cheated and in the end the husband takes her back.

Because he did these 'men' are now compelled to rewrite this guy's story so the woman doesn't get away with the cheating.

Seriously, think on that. Such a little insecure baby of a man you're upset over a story where a woman gets away with bad behavior that you need to correct it?

Says it all and those who vehemently defend it are really showing who they are.

But that type of crowd is on the rise here and everywhere.

I've written many incest stories, and in particular, mom-son stories. I've seen some evidence of what you are talking about, but I think the main source of the squeamishness of some incest readers probably lies elsewhere. I think it's the Oedipal Complex. The son taking the place of the father. In that situation, the reader, who puts himself in the shoes of the son, wants monogamy. While he's perfectly happy to see the incest boundary broken in innumerable ways, he'll get squicked if too many other kinks are introduced.

I haven't seen too many incest stories where the son is sleeping around with many women other than his mother. Usually, the focus of erotic attention is exclusively on the mother.

In addition to mom-son stories, I like to write exhibitionist women/hot wife stories, and I often blend those elements, or elements of other kinks, with my incest stories. Most readers seem to enjoy the blend, but some, clearly, do not. For instance, I've had incest story readers who protested:

--mom touching her anus, because a good mom wouldn't do that
--mom being a hucow who had sex with other men ("she's just a whore")
-- mom being ogled by the son/protagonist's friends ("leave the friends out of it, it creeped me out")
--mom showing off her body to anybody but her son/lover

Men (and women, too) whose fantasies have Oedipal elements often are essentially conservative/romantic in their fantasy, with the exception of the incest element.

The other comment I often get with these stories, which reinforces my point, is that readers often want mom and son to have babies at the end of the story. That completes the son's accession to the role of husband to the mom, and his replacement of the previous father.

I think you're right for some readers but yet at the same time for every "It should just be him with his mom/sister etc..." wanting monogamy in the taboo relationship...

There's a comment saying "And in the follow up you need to get the sister involved or one I've gotten a few times if I've introduced another character "Get Mom's friend in there too"

If I had to guess I'd say your example may be the majority, but there's a good amount looking the other way as well.

How the story is set up may factor in, if you're setting a deeper more emotional tone. your example would win out, if its a stroky "Mom's hot, why not?" you're going to get the free for all crowd.

Its why what everything really comes down to at its core is write what you want and let the readers find you

You've had many, many more comments to your incest stories than I have, so you've probably seen a lot more variety than I have. I haven't seen many comments of that kind.

With your last comment, I totally agree. I follow the recipe of mixing kinks that I think I would enjoy as a reader. After 9 years of this I know some readers, maybe a bunch, will enjoy the recipe, too. I don't worry about those that won't. My advice to authors is to just experiment, try things, figure out what works for them, and then ignore the readers who can't get on board with that.

I've encountered the exact same thing recently. I've got an ongoing story series where a young man slips into another dimension, where his family are very different in this new alternate reality than in the real world and somewhat lacking in boundaries so to speak. There was also no September 11 and gay remains an archaic term for happy, but that's going off topic.

Anyway, the mother has a different job as a flight attendant in the alternate reality, and a handsome and charming much younger black boyfriend from Upper Volta (Burkina Faso, but in the alternate reality this West African country retains its original name) who also works as a flight attendant and is always cracking jokes. The boyfriend - with whom the mother has a very open relationship - is also very familiar with the sister, female cousin and stepsister, the three girls completely at ease with undressing or showering in front of him and implications that he has been intimate with all of them in the past. In one scene the mother has a shower with both her boyfriend and her son, giving both of them blow-jobs, and also brings other young men back to the house for one night stands.

I've had comments from readers saying how much they hate the boyfriend and how he shouldn't be in the story, implying that the son should be the dominant one and the only one having sex with the mother and the three girls. For some strange reason though, I haven't had a positive comment from anyone saying that they have been searching without success for a story with a character from Upper Volta for years and now have finally found one. Maybe this week...
