"Yes," I said in answer to Marcus' question. My voice sounded strange and hollow and it did not seem right for our voices to be breaking the silence of this forest.
Taking a deep breath, I said,"We have to watch out. The creatures in this forrest are apt to attack first and ask questions later." As if to illistrate my point, we heard howling off in the distance. Gratefully it was far in the distance.
"Take one of the branches from the ground," I instructed him. "Make sure it is not from any living tree as some of them are quite alive and will take revenge on any harm to themselves."
When he picked up the branch, I instructed him to put it down by me. Taking some pixie dust in my hand, I covered the tip of the branch with it and then spoke in a sing song chant. The tip of the branch came alive with what appeared to be fire but the branch did not burn. The color of the flame was the same as my dust trail was when I flew.
"That should light our way and many of the creatures here will not approach the light. But we must still be careful and make our way with haste."
