St. Moritz was a quint Alpine resort town set in the Engadine in Switzerland, catering to the summer and winter seasonal season visitors. The inhabitants were friendly to both each other and the visitors who came to spend time and money in their town. They hosted winter sports such as skiing, hockey, bobsledding, and other such activities. The summer tourist seasonal sports also including sailing, long distance biking, running, and other such sports.
It was also home to Saint Mauritius, referred to the church of the springs. This came from the early history that early pilgrims used to visit in order to drink from the nearby Mauritius springs in hopes of being healed. Although the church wasn't anywhere close to a mega church, it boasted a healthy number of regular local and foreign visitors. Two priests were in charge of the church, with a handful of volunteers helping with the upkeep and other duties at the church.
Greylork was a low level demon who often moved around various human towns, mostly just watching and taking notes of mortal life. However, he did get bored of those duties and go hands-on to aleve his boredom. This time was no exception. Like all demons, he did enjoy playing with the human lives, stirring up what trouble he could. It had taken him a few days to decide on what to do before finally deciding to disguise himself as a pastor to spend some time corrupting within the church.
It was a couple of days before the winter seasonal that the demon decided to join. He had learnt the eldest of the two pastors had decided it was his time to retired, so that would be his in. Forging the transfer papers was easy enough, so he had those in hand when he had approached the door of the church. It was only a couple of knocks before it was the elder pastor himself who answered, looking a little confused.
"Hello there sir. You are a little early for the evening sermon, but you are more than welcome to come in."
Grelork took a moment to smile before holding up the sealed forged orders for the man to take.
"Actually, I was sent to be your replacement. I know it's a little early for me to be here, but things moved ahead of schedule."
The old man had to process the interaction for a moment before smiling. He stepped to the side, opening the door wider.
"Oh, of course. Please come in so I can get you settled in."
