Is there anything Melania hasn't failed at? Her MAGA movie is a flop, of course.

lol @ the music cues :ROFLMAO:

‘Melania’ Is an Unbelievable Abomination of Filmmaking

Melania is a level of insipid propaganda that almost resists review; it’s so expected and utterly pointless....The truth is, my soul left my body during the very first seconds of the film, when a drone shot over the ocean makes its way over the Mar-a-Lago grounds to Melania’s feet in heels, walking to her car as The Rolling Stones’ “Gimme Shelter” plays. But my soul didn’t just escape and flee, which it would have been in its every right to do. No, it lingered, glaring at me the entire Melania running time with a mixture of disappointment and anger, like an owner would at their dog after it ate the garbage.

Awesome. :D

"Melania" Is The Worst Movie I've Ever Seen

Excerpts:

Last night, I left an empty chickpea can on my counter. When I came back 30 minutes later, small, black bugs had swarmed the tin and were crawling over my sink. I would rather relive that moment a hundred times over than have to watch another minute of the movie Melania...The titular woman spends the entire movie talking in vague statements, the kind you'd expect from an absent father using ChatGPT to write a wedding speech...We see Melania talk of the grief of losing her mother, as Renée Good's children mourn her. The first lady talks about the importance of being an immigrant while she walks through the rotunda, as ICE butchers people on the street. She reiterates her dedication to the welfare of children, as a 5-year-old is held in detention. The portion of Trump's inauguration where he committed to preserving the Constitution plays. It would be funny if it weren't so dark.

The party has officially started. 🥳

Excerpts:

Melania review – First Lady is a preening, scowling void of pure nothingness in this ghastly bit of propaganda

...Melania focuses on 20 days running up to the second Trump inauguration in January 2025. “Everyone wants to know,” Melania growls in voiceover, “so here it is.” Perhaps her lack of specificity on what exactly people want to know is deliberate. The documentary – with a runtime of 104 minutes – covers everything from the design of place settings and the width of hat ribbons to her excitement for her son Barron’s hypothetical “beautiful family” and sadness at the 2024 death of her mother. “Not a day goes by when I don’t think about my mother,” she laments in the film’s signature voiceover, while the camera holds a shot of the coffin of President Carter. This is American history through the idiosyncratic prism of a woman who is part-puppet of the regime, part-delusional creative, and part-symbol of America’s immigrant community.

“The golden age of America begins right now!” Trump bleats in his inaugural address, while Melania sits behind him, her face twitching unnervingly between pout and smile. Woven through the documentary’s depiction of the events in the run-up to the Trumps’ return to the White House are signs of the film’s strange genesis. Melania’s chief of staff denies a request from Matt Belloni, the entertainment journalist, to hear more about her mysterious Amazon deal. At the banquet dinner on inauguration eve (where guests are served a gold egg and caviar, because, as a sycophantic designer tells the first lady, “white and gold is you!”) viewers will repeatedly spy Amazon proprietor Jeff Bezos alongside other oligarchs like Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and Tim Cook. For the rights to tell this “story”, Amazon paid around $40m, including $28m directly to Mrs Trump. An expensive seat at an expensive table.

To call Melania vapid would do a disservice to the plumes of florid vape smoke that linger around British teenagers. She calls herself a “mother, wife, daughter, friend”, yet is only depicted preening and scowling. Figures like Brigitte Macron and Queen Rania of Jordan appear to bolster Melania’s geopolitical credentials, yet time and again she returns to banal aphorisms. “Cherish your family and loved ones,” she implores audiences, who were, up until then, neglecting their family and despising their loved ones. Trump himself is an instantly more charismatic presence on screen. His scenes offer a relief from Melania’s mask of pure nothingness. Hitting cinemas as the streets of America remain filled with the angry and grieving – with the country on the verge of an irreparable schism – the vulgar, gilded lifestyle of the Trumps makes them look like Marie Antoinette skulking in her cake-filled chateau, or Hermann Göring’s staring up at his looted Monet.

To be honest, you’re not selling it. Sounds missable.

Stories like this makes me wonder....did anyone actually ever SEE AJ's death certificate?
I know he purportedly succumbed to complications from atrial fibrillation at his retirement timeshare in Branson Missouri but stories like this make me pause.

Todays guardian review:

Amazon paid a record $40m to license the film and a related docuseries for its Prime Video platform, with a further $35m spent on promotion and distribution, according to people familiar with the deal. The Wall Street Journal reported that Melania Trump will personally make $28m.

The scale of the spend has raised eyebrows, not least because Amazon’s founder and chair, Jeff Bezos, also contributed to Trump’s inaugural fundlast year. Amazon and the film’s director, Brett Ratner, have rejected suggestions that the project was designed to curry favour with the administration.”

“Ratner – for whom this is the first film since 2017, when six women accused him of sexual misconduct, allegations that he denies – told reporters at the premiere: “It wasn’t about getting rich. I think the Trumps are wealthy and successful enough.”

There is zero chemistry between him and her.

All other presidential couples still look like they bang each other, these two look repulsed by each other. They look so stiff together. Oh and the files....

It's interesting how many millions Bezos dropped on that film, yet these same guys don't want to pay their fair share of taxes.

A Bezos suck up donation for some reason, probably a hopeful tariff related thing. And in keeping with trump’s all the best people theme, they brought back the disgraced sex offender Brett Ratner, oops alleged, for a redemption movie. Well done.

Melania Trump Documentary Has Become Online LOL Meme with Fake Reviews, Defaced Posters, and Few Advanced Ticket Sales

Advanced ticket sales are minimal to non existent. In New York, no surprise, there are one or two seats taken in some theaters, none in most of them.

But in Palm Beach, Florida, ground zero for Trump, the same story exists.

:)
Just saw Brett Ratner has a mention on the latest release of the Epstein files.

And so is Kevin Warsh who trump posted is to become the next fed chair and who he’s known for years. On an Epstein guest list back in 2010.

I like this one:

The fact that she is disciplined enough to hide her true personality from the public is, in fact, her personality.

The last scenes of “Melania” take place on Inauguration Day 2025, following the first couple through their preparations at Blair House, the inauguration itself, several inaugural balls. At 2 a.m. they return to the White House residence and a member of the house staff rummages through the fridge to find them a snack.

Melania lowers herself to a sofa and then quietly begins to remove the high heels she has been wearing for 22 hours. We see a foot.

It’s a moment that could have been the beginning of a fascinating documentary — and it is also the moment the credits start to roll.
