I proposed several solutions that are getting traction according to feedback I've received:

• Remove all white cops from predominantly black neighborhoods and communities. Make residents feel safe and secure instead of living in fear.
• Moratorium on future felony convictions for all black citizens.
• Release black inmates to restore a generation broken black families.
• Reduce funding to police forces. Give money back to citizens to protect themselves, as necessary (weapons, weapons training, self-defense classes)
• Break up the country after 150 years of post-Civil War failure.

All you've done is bitch, complain, and kneel/beg for forgiveness.

None so far. I have not set up a petition but I have contacted local and state officials with the idea. There are those willing to listen.

I find some of your ideas to be pushed a bit far (the risk is creating a false image of, or inadvertently opening the path towards an Apartheid State)

I also enjoyed listening to the two Black religious community leaders on TV.
How they draw a sharp distinction between the rightful SJ movement and the looting/violence.
And most of all, that they didn't engage in White guilting and race splitting.

Unfortunately, MLK's grandson and some White Brit. went on Good Morning Britain and tried to fuel exactly that, between Brit. races.

The problem here is that we've created a country where the people are afraid. they're afraid because our government has told them that if they aren't afraid and actually be bold enough to standup for themselves in the face of evil, then the government will step in and MAKE them afraid.

You cannot defend yourself or YOU will be the one hauled to jail.

This leaves the thugs and bullies free reign to do whatever they want because the government isn't concerned about THEM. People who are violent and willing to shoot back are "dangerous" so the government will wait until the violence and shooting are finished before they show up to arrest the victims for the "crime" of not being afraid.

As a result, the thugs and bullies intimidate those who are afraid with impunity. Worse, those who are afraid join them in their intimidation tactics because they somehow believe that if they appear to support the thugs and bullies, they'll be spared.

Serious charges are being brought against all four cops in the Floyd murder, and ithe three men in the Arbery shooting. Laws are being changed regarding kneeling on people's necks and other uses of force: Funding is being redirected from police budgets to social services so they can deal with the non-violent cases the police have been burdened with,etc,etc.

Of course the real solutions are much more difficult and will require a change in leadership at the very top.

Social justice in our financial institutions, our educational institutions, and our judicial institutions, will help not only the black community, but all other marginalized groups including the white working poor.

The reason things haven't changed in society is because the rich and powerful don't live in society, they live in "high society". Many of the actions of the protesters are designed to let the rich know that they are not immune to the negative consequences brought on by their corrupt use of wealth and power to maintain their status quo. When the people in "high society" start feeling the pain of the people in low society, that's when things will change.
