How nice to see my name on the MIA list. I've been around posting as usual. This weekend I was out of town without access to a computer. I won't likely be around much in the next week. My schedule runs in cycles, and right now is the crunch time.

First of all LMFAO @Laurel! Well, I was going for the drool smilie since that is what I do around Lash-tastic. (Sorry if my gushing is making anyone sick. I can't help the way I feel about the Lash-God! Hey- yeah if DCL- who is right up there with him in my book, btw- can be Siren's 'Lit Bull God', then Lasher can be MY 'Lash-tastic God'!!)

But I suppose if he gets too near and actually answers me (like he did above) it would tickle me so much as to make me pee in my pants. Oh wait...I'm not wearing any panties!

Which reminds me- I feel soooo bad for leaving my favorite panty smuggler off the list accidentally. Slut Boy- you are mostly a hit and run poster lately- here for a couple of threads and then disappear. But I miss you!

I did indeed forget Deborah- you know I haven't talked to her- well, I haven't really talked to lots of you actually- but she is indeed one helluva funny lady.

Hung_Like_Horsey- yes- that's it. Your name is too durn long to type. But you are funny and I am glad to see you around. I forgot to mention Creamy Lady, Earth people (goddesses and muffins et al) Golden, CarlEast.

Hell-if I keep going on adding all the names I miss this will run over to pages 3,4,5,6 etc.

Just glad some of you old timers are still around. I really do enjoy reading your thoughts and observations on a diverse array of subjects. Hopefully we'll get to interact on a more consistent basis.

To all those who are sick, tired, or just plain sick and tired, hope you're all feeling better. To those in love- congrats. To those who are busy, slow down, come back here and relax with us. To those who are sad- cheer up. To those who are writing- keep those stories coming. To those who own and run the board- I didn't forget your name from this list. I know you guys are both around. The reports of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.

I have been posting less than usual, though, mainly because of the rash of negativity and meanspiritedness that's around here. I encounter enough conflict and mental illness in my offline life for me to try to avoid it here if at all possible.

Don't get me wrong... I love a good argument as much as anyone else, but not with the ad hominem attacks.

I know what the regulars will say in response: "it's not any worse than it used to be". Maybe they're right. Maybe I just have a lower threshold for bulletin board rancor than I used to. I just find myself more likely these days turning to more pleasant diversions to occupy the time I should be spending studying.

There's so much I love about this board (and if there wasn't, why would I be here?): the opportunity to flirt, argue, make friends, hear fresh perspectives and thought-provoking ideas, etc. But for me, at least, the board's a lot less enjoyable with the all petty personal attacks that have been going on.

I'm still around, but like Gaucho, I'm less enthused about posting.

CL, from one Vermonter to another, tell Skibum that if he needs to logon in an emergency, he's welcome to visit me. I was in that situation for about 6 weeks (shortly after I joined the board) so I know exactly how disconcerting a situation that can be.

Brainy, seeing this thread again after a week or so, a thought occured to me. It feels weird that you missed me when I don't even really know you. You registered in October, and it's only November. YOu must have lurked one hell of a long time.

ALso, as far as my absence--I know not everyone feels this way, but one of the main reasons I haven't been posting lately is that the board is going through a blabber phase. There are just too many threads that have no topic or point. My time is limited as it is, and it's far too tedious to wade through all the nonsense to get to the threads that interest me. I don't even look at the threads that get pushed to the second page.

Please don't misunderstand and think that I'm telling people to stop posting nonsense. On the contrary, they have a right to post what they want. I'm just explaining why I am not as active as I have been in the past. I'm sure this phase will pass, and I'll get addicted again.

As for me...I only wish I could enjoy half as much time as I'd like to be able to play on the BB...but I'm only able to have a couple hours a night online reeeeally really late before I go to bed to catch up, and usually the threads I haven't read start on page 3 or 4...*yikers!* So alot of times I don't even have time to post anything as I just struggle to keep up. Also, I don't have the luxury of internet access from work as some do here (lucky bastages), but I'm almost positive that that's a very good thing.
