I spent time today worrying about how I was going to use these pre-made burger patties (not something we normally have in the freezer) up and still stay within my desired calorie count for the day. I made side dishes to compensate and everything. Open the patties. No good. So I ended up getting meat and making my own which saved me around 200 calories. Guess who is having dessert?

The horses are beautiful!!!

Ok, I can't help it, I'm a horse lover...

The picture is of a breed of horses called Gypsy Vanner. They are a recognized breed. Large horses (big carriage pulling sized) but sweet natured. They are all multi-colored (painted).

LOTS of care is required. All that hair you know. You can Google for them and see tons of images. They ain't cheap!

People think a horse is expensive. Compared to a hot rod, motorcycle or a 12-pack a day beer budget, they're not expensive at all. Once you get past the purchase price and the cost of the gear that is. The REAL cost is in manpower. You don't stick a horse in the garage and forget about it. Daily maintenance cannot be skimped on! Nor can preventative vet and farrier care.

But, if you want the lifestyle, they're cheaper than dating and racing. And the women, they're EVERYWHERE and they ALL admire a beautiful horse and a handsome man who can ride one well.

Elle, I left Luke off of the list. He's a registered Missouri Foxtrotter. He's 26 now I think. We have a dwarf apple tree just for him. The others only get to share if there's extra apples. I'm not mean, there are usually a lot more apples than Luke can safely eat by himself but the others get nasty if they get too many sweets. JT has been mouthy for goodies since I bought him in 1999. He has to be satisfied with a mint when he's a really really good boy. He gets a lot of mints.
