Iran has now seized 2 tankers in what are clearly acts of piracy. The world in general reacts slowly so I anticipate it will take some time before something is done about it. What that will ultimately be depends on Iran and what they are going to do with the 2 tankers and their crews.

Either way, Iran will lose face. The question at this point is; will they lose lives as well?

Two British owned tankers but the latest news is that one, and its crew, have been released and allowed to leave Iranian waters. One was flying the British Flag, the other, although owned by a British company, was under the Liberian flag. Neither ship had any British nationals in their crews.
