It's going to be cold the next 3 days.

Tampa will be 32 tomorrow morning. Might try South America.
Just saw on our latest weather...I think they said next Monday, the HIGH will be ZERO!. They also said this coming Thursday and Friday nights will be dangerous wind chill in the -30 to -40 range, because of the cold temps expected. I'll wait to see if this actually happens.

This Wednesday, we are suppose to get some snow, too. But, the good news about snow when it's this cold out, the snow isn't very slick. It just crunches as you drive over it.

When the temps are higher, say in the upper 20s or closer to 30 (normal temps for this time of year), the snow is a lot slicker, because it's closer to melting. That's when a lot of cars driving on it forms ice.

Time to sit out and get a tan, I think.

Now they are saying 13 on Friday. Bastards.
Whine, whine, whine, you southern wimp! :p

Our current projection for Thursday is a high of -2º F, low -16º, daytime windchills of -24 to -34º, 3 degrees lower for nighttime (winds dropping).

-5 at the moment. Supposedly by the weekend it'll be back up into the 20's though.

An important thing to remember - dry cold is different from wet cold. Chicago gets enough lake effect that I'd rather be -5 here than 10 degrees there, and I'd rather be 0 degrees here than 25 degrees in NYC.

I can shovel the walk in just a sweater in 20 degrees here and break a sweat doing it.

It's 26 right now in the Land of Lincoln, Drinkin' and Fraud and there is no way in hell that I want to go outside to do the car repair work that my daughter's car requires. It will have to wait a few more days.

I might be a wimp but you Yanks are nuts! If it were 20 I'd have on at least four layers. Now they are saying 17 on Friday and 14 on Saturday. Will this thing ever end?

20 isn't that bad if there's snow on the ground. 20 without snow is freaking cold though.

And just think, in a few more months it'll be 103 with 98% humidity and you'll wish for a little bit of the cold back.

I love the heat. What is really pissing me off is that I have natural gas and it isn't cheap.

Is that like when people say "oh, but it's a dry heat"? 'Cause I don't really notice all that much of an improvement there.

I don't either when it comes to heat and I think those people are nuts, so take it with a grain of salt. But yeah, the wet cold that comes off the ocean penetrates your clothes in a different way or something.

I just heard a guy in the gym say he'd rather be up here then Florida even though it's colder here. Feels worse there.

It's because if it's hot and either super humid or super dry people can't breath. For me, a dry heat or a dry cold is nearly enough to have me in the ER on their breathing treatments. I think that's more of an Oregon thing though... one straight month without any rain and we don't know what to do with ourselves.

And not to poke at you WD, but I've been running around in a tank top all day... with the windows in my house open. It's surprisingly spring-ish for January.

Oh, my! Such filthy language directed at Mother Nature! Better be cautious...could be more snow and cold, just because of the sculpture!:eek:

It's suppose to start snowing here on Wednesday and expect about 5 inches or so they say. Then, the wind and deep freeze comes in, with dangerous frost bite wind chills for Thursday and Friday. A high of zero for Friday or Saturday and then it slowly starts to come back up in temperature. Monday is suppose to be in the low 30s! :D

That is...unless Mother Nature sees that sculpture.

Fuck this. It's not supposed to be this cold in the South.

Also, the cold does a number on my asthma. And Kitty had a cold or a sinus infection or something during Christmas, which has apparently turned into bronchitis because a.) that's what it sounds like and b.) that's what happens every time she gets sick, bless her heart.

So between the cold, the lung issues, and our druggie roommate smoking and trying to burn the house down, we sound like a symphony of coughing.

Lovely.

The primary discomfort for me is the wind. You know those scifi/fantasy movies where the villain sucks the life-force out of the hero or some unsuspecting victim and they end up like some shriveled corpse? I feel like that is happening to me every time the wind blows.

Shiverrrrrrrrrr...

10º with 30-40 mph winds = windchill factor of -14º. Snow blowing so hard (even though it quit actually snowing a couple of hours ago) that one can *just* barely see the road from the kitchen doorway.

Discovered that one of the living room window frames was poorly installed (they're doubles, for insulative purposes) and has a 1/4" gap at the bottom where snow was blowing in and accumulating between the outer and inner windows. It's too freakin' cold to do any calking, so went out with some old dish cloths and my pocket knife and stuffed the old dish cloths, bit by bit by bit, into the crack to reduce the amount of cold stuffs coming in (and hot stuffs going out). Fun. My nose is still cold, half an hour later.

Hot chocolate is good, though :D

Isn't that a fetish of some sort? Like a sub-category to temperature play?

1 condom+1 empty toilet paper roll

1) while holding condom inside empty toilet paper roll to help keep its shape, fill condom with water. Don't want to waste a condom? Balloons might also work.

1a) If you want to live dangerously, you can substitute a paper towel roll for the toilet paper roll. That will make a long, cold dong.

2) tie a knot in the end of condom to keep water in.

3) put in freezer (or on your back porch) for enough time to freeze water.

4) once water is frozen, remove condom and toilet paper roll to reveal frozen dong.

5) if necessary, hold dong under warm water to smooth any rough edges. Rub with hand or other tool to shape end as desired for insertion.

6) cold fucking fun

If you want to experiment, put rubber bands around toilet paper roll to shape as desired. Let your imagination run wild.

Watch out for frost bite and freezer burn. And fuck fast, before dildo melts!
