I have submitted five stories on or before October 6th and as of today only 1 has been published.

I've pm'd Laurel, I've reached out to support. I've edited to trigger them to go back into the queue. I've completely deleted them and submitted just 1 story, thinking that maybe I just had too many stories, because they were piling up since some of them had been pending since September.

I've gotten 1 rejection and I resubmitted and it's been pending for weeks. I actually submitted another story and it appeared someone looked at it and put it back in the queue because the time stamp changed.

So it's hard not to feel like this is not personal.

I really need help getting my stories looked at. Any help?

I removed all of my stories for now except 1 which is still pending. https://www.literotica.com/my/#/works/stories/pending?page=1

I'm so sad and frustrated, I don't know what to do.

So sorry to hear it. I can't imagine how frustrating that must be.

But please don't take it personally. Laurel has hundreds of submissions to check every day - just look at how many are published! There's a process, however opaque it might be from the outside, and you simply got caught in the wrong bit of it.

Thank you, I truly appreciate the insight and reassurance!

I've got two edits from the 7th of October sitting there.
I think the Halloween competition puts other things on the back burner.
Dont keep deleting stuff, it just goes to the back of the queue.
Thank you for the insight! That makes sense, I'm sorry your stuff is also pending, I haven't deleted anything in awhile. So I'll continue to check on the status in the meantime.

As Bazzle noted, deleted and resubmitting resets the clock to zero and sends the submittal to the back of the queue. There were around 220 submittals in the Halloween competition so a lot of non-Halloween stories were probably delayed. Hopefully yours and any others that were affected will be published soon.

I checked your library of stories. The site admin doesn’t seem to like nonconsent/reluctance very much, that’s probably why. I know if I include a hint of that in another section on accident, my story gets kicked back for ‘extreme non-consent or torture.” I’m not really complaining though, reworking my stories made them better.

My Nonconsent stuff, published in the Nonconsent category, gets approved in about two days. Longest, three. (One got rejected, in two days. Resubmitted with an explanation and got approved.)

Good to know, maybe I'll switch up the categories, my stories are more mild reluctance, but If I can get them pushed through reworking them might be the way to go! Thank you!

Thank you! Yeah, my first 3 works had no issues. But mine aren't even being sent back, their just in pending purgatory. Thank you so much for the insight?

This is really good info, I will keep this in mind when timing my submissions in the future. I'm feeling alot better now!

I also feel like this may have been true for the one where the time stamp changed. Thank you for responding. I truly appreciate this community!

The site has no issue with non-con/reluctance, provided you abide by the stated rules for it. This site is actually one of the more liberal ones I've seen when it comes to NC/R, however, there are still rules.

My NC/R stories get approved usually in 10-12 hours. My quickest story was approved within 12 minutes. My longest too a month, however, that had nothing to do with it being NC.

I have heard other authors talking about the time stamp being changed, and they believe that's something to do with the AI reviewing process.

Unfortunately, no one knows how Laurel works out what stories to approve in what order. Basically, it could take minutes, it could take a month, there's no way of knowing.

Yes, people have "theories" but other people's experiences differ (eg theory is your first story takes longer, mine didn't. etc) and we just don't know anything other than that it's not done in order received. Which means other people have posted their story after you, and they get approved first. That's hard, because it does feel personal. It sucks, but there's really nothing we can offer other than commiserations. I hope your stories get posted soon.

I appreciate this so much! My first thought is always to consider how much it takes to keep things running smoothly on this site. However, my recent experience had me questioning everything, so this is really helpful. Thank you so much.
