Unusual Pending Phase

Hello everybody,

I've got a quick question for my fellow Literotica authors.
I've submitted a new story.
However, the pending process has already taken 20!!! days.
This seems very unusual.
I've previously published 65 stories on Literotica, so I'm not a new author.
Usually, the pending phase lasted a maximum of 3-5 days.
However, it's the first time that I'm publishing an illustrated story.

So I wanted to ask what your experience is like.
Does it always take this long for illustrated stories?
It could be a technical error in the review queue, problems with the illustrations or something entirely else.
I don't know, as I haven't gotten any feedback from the Literotica team yet
So I wanted to ask about ways to contact them.
Which ones would you recommend?

If someone from Literotica reads this, please let me know what the problem is.
Thank you!
Cathartico

I haven't submitted an Illustrated story, but I've heard they take longer. Definitely follow up with Laurel, politely. Take a look at your submission status and comb through it carefully to see if there are any problems or any clues to what's going on. That's an unusually long time.

In your note to Laurel, it might be a good idea to offer some words that the illustrations are your own. The copyright law in the EU was changed a few years ago to allow site owners to be held liable for publishing art that copyrighted by someone else. I'm not sure how Laurel would go about identifying art owned by another, but that might be the case.

AND that the illustrations are not the result of AI. That might be an issue hanging things up.

Illustrated stories seem to get processed in batches. The two most recent ones in the New Stories View were posted today (I don't know when they were submitted) but the next most recent were back on the 25th, with nothing in between. I think most likely it's just slow processing for the category, but if it's been 20 days it wouldn't hurt to send Laurel a PM just to check.
