Kind of makes me sad. Especially now that I know several, if not most of the people I admire and enjoy the most are doing it. Considering the difficulties one of them is having with a malicious troll, I don't blame them in the least, I'd leave too.

I'm going to miss Dixon cause he always saying things that make me think, make me laugh, and giggle. He's fun to flirt with because he totally blows it off.

I'm going to miss Deborah cause she's one of the few people around here who give as good as she gets. You can call her anything you want to and she'll toss it right back at you with no hard feelings either way.

I've heard of others who are taking off as well, and I'm going to miss them terribly.

Personally though, I think the GB is no longer a place for me to be. I'm too bitchy and everyone is lamenting the amount of negativity, hostility, and vitriolicity. I tend to dish that out in spades. I'm not leaving lit, just moving to a different board. This one isn't interesting anymore, and it hasn't been for a while. The only threads I seem to open anymore involve shit slinging. So, see ya on other boards.

Anyone else joining in the mass GB emigration?

It's unfortunate that people feel they have to leave especially when they have the ability to add so much to the boards. It also makes me feel as someone relatively new here that I do not have the ability to add enough to the board to keep folks interested in staying. (not that I am looking for a new challenge) How is it that only a handful of people have the ability to hold peoples attention?? Why do people feel the need to flee...why not stay and help try and turn things around.

I have never been trolled upon, but how is it someone has that much power thru a damn phone wire to run people off? It almost seems unreal to me. The world is full of assholes, but I have not quit my job because of them, nor have I moved out of a community because of them. They really are everywhere, but we have to see past them.

My understanding is this board has deteriorated in the past several months?? WHY? Is it something that is really beyond anyone's control?

I dunno. Seems silly to me that people feel they have to leave just because of few rotten apples.

Dixon appears to have left, though - if you read the threads - he didn't say it was for good. He didn't say it wasn't either. So there is a lot of jumping to conclusions going on here. Which is par for the course.

If Dixon doesn't return I will assume that is a choice he made that is the right thing for him at this juncture in his life. Wish him luck. But neither he, nor anyone else, is this board. It is the gestalt of all those who participate. It will change, it will evolve. Some will stay, some will go. That's life. Deal with it.

Deborah did not leave. What Deborah said, and I'll paraphrase (one of you can go look up her exact words if you want)... what Deborah said was that basically she was planning on leaving sometime - maybe in a few days, or a few weeks... So, for the time being, she appears to still be here.

As far as DarlingBri and Problem Child - from what I know they're still here.

I read Laurel's post as well. Having to take some time and do some thinking is natural and isn't an indication that she is going anywhere either.

So lets stop with the unproductive speculation and unverified reports of anyone's imminent demise.

Reading Circe!'s posts and that of Laurel herself, gave me deep sadness. And taking note that I haven't seen MP since Dixon left, though, I am sure she's been here, I see she posts dramatically less. I think most of us are, if not at all. I thought Circe! was gone too. I am glad to see you are still posting. (I have a copy of a painting of Circe, that I would love to share with you, but that is another issue.)

Though I have always felt you think of me lowly, and that is fine if you do, because I probably am, I really think you are a gem, but I don't think you realize how much your glimmering wit and abilities are needed at Lit while Lit is still Lit. (and yes we know when you are serious and need to be forgiving if you are mean, and when you are joking, to take you with a grain of salt. At least I do. Do you troll bash? Are you mean to those who have never done you wrong? Have you gone out of your way to put someone down, if they didn't ask for it? (subjective, I opt to not fuck up my Kharma(just a personal belief) worse and try my fucking hardest (doesn't always work) to not rip thier heads off of half wits. But I am guilty too, but what counts in action is the motivation and the result.)

So....you think you should go. Well, as 'tough guy' macho as you try to be, to spare yourself agony ontop of the pain you already experiance, most of us know you care and are a sweet lady, with a big heart, to share with whom and about what you can afford. So, yes, you are a person of unsteady health, (me too, but that is beside the point) and you deserve what is going to be best for your hapiness and health, with out harassement. If the stress of the board is not digestable for your health's sake, like in Dixon's case, then you should go.

It seems you posted your " I am me, and I like me" thread right after that, inresponse to it, and I hope you don't think that I was aiming that directly at you. I am sorry if that is how it appeared, and most of the shits on the BB would have done it that way if they were talking to you, but I always put a persons name before what I am addressing them about. I care about every human, because it's a motherly drive I have and I had it instilled in me, but I most of all right now, feel really bad if in any small way I hurt you, or made you feel bad for being you.
