Jail's Cell

Really? I've not eaten there, though I've seen it and often wondered...

Good for you! It looks like a beautiful house from the road...

Excellent food and close enough for a walk... :nana:

Yes it is, thank you.

On line browsing for decorating and furnishing has been quite fun!

Spanish, Mediterranean...

The house already has some of those elements, rounded corners, Travertine tiles throughout the ground floor.

There really isn't any color in the place. All the walls are browns which matches the tiles, but makes verything too bland because of the lack of contrasts...

The entire ground floor will be repainted... I have picked three different blues for the living room and formal dining room and the kitchen/family room is a warm sage green.

With white baseboards and ceiling, the color changes makes the Travertine really "Pop."

The upstairs is a warm yellow that we will keep the same and only one bedroom needs repainting as it is currently "little boy blue." It was their baby's room.

LMAOooo...

It is rather hard to describe, but when you first enter the opposite wall will be a warm darker blue, the formal dining room is to the left and the stairs in the middle of the wall. The stairs divide the dining room and the walk way to the family room. The bannisters are white and the hand rail a very light pine.

The other three walls are a warm lighter blue and then my office is to the right, double doors and will be an even lighter blue. My office will also be the library with built in shelving. It has one window so it has very little natural light, thus the need for a lighter color.

The dark blue makes the stairs stand out more too, making the stairway a focal point. The darker blue matches the blue in the pool tiles which is visable from the dining room window.

I have a friend who is a painting contractor and loaned me his painting program. I can upload a picture and repaint anything in any color, so that has helped a lot.

Mmmm... Sounds very Mediterranean and very beautiful... Perfect for a day like today! It's a gorgeous Mem Day Weekend, isn't it?

Off to shower, then to the soccer fields nearby for a bit...

Enjoy the sunshine! I'm going to wear a hat today, I think... Put sunscreen on my shoulders and chest yesterday but I have having it on my face and ended up with a pink nose!

Thank you and yes, be careful out there... I'm sitting in my swim suit wishing I was already there and enjoying that pool! ;)

Who would have thought that the June gloom would break for the weekend... I'm posting and watching all the classic war movies and waiting for NASCAR to start. I my on a fantasy team and holding 3rd place...

Never done this fantasy NASCAR before and it has become very addicting... Kinda like Lit. :p

Have fun SR... :rose:

Kinda slow around here today. Hope it picks up tonight.
Perhaps because of it being the first long weekend of the season in the US. Here in Canada we had ours last weekend

*walking into the cell, sunburn-free*

Hey, all! Anybody talk with FantasySlut? How's she doing?
