Adray turned to her, and grinned. He rolled up his sleeve, showing her marks from a clan of Ninja on his world, which probably wouldn't mean anything to her, but would give her an idea of what he'd been through in his life. He smiled, then slid the gun back into its holster and looked through the door, seeing the soldiers on the ground. He thought carefully how to respond to her question, then smiled, and turned to her again.

"I am what you see, but I am so much more. My people have been starfaring for many centuries. However, before that, we were at war with each other. We made weapons that destroyed much of our planet, so we expanded to others, hoping to give it time to heal. I am trained in the old ways, those of the Ninja, the silent warrior. Jorus said that my ways were similar to ancient legends of the Jedi, regarding the Sith, however, he said that the Sith were evil beyond comprehension, unlike the Ninja. I have also been trained in the use of firearms, in the manner of a gunslinger. I am a warrior, and I fight to protect that which means something to me. At the moment, that means those who trust me even though they've barely met me." He nodded, then pulled out the pulse rifle again, and stepped inside the doorway slowly, not waiting for her answer.

This man was interesting.. She felt a strength in him that most did not have, but Jedi Master Jorus C'baoth had been dead for almost two hundred years.. There was no way this man could be that old.. It was during the time of the old republic.. She had been told stories of this history time and again as a youngling.. The stories of bravery and sacrifice inspired her to achieve jedi knight status and bring peace and prosperity like those before her.. She watched as he stepped inside the doorway without warning and placed her had at her weapon ready to draw at the slightest disturbance..

Adray moved across the room silently, seeing nothing but an inky blackness on the other side of the room. He had started to turn back to her, when he caught movement out of the corner of his eye, and managed to duck just in time to miss an energy bolt. The bolt hit the wall, burning into it, just as he fired the pulse rifle from the floor. The blast went right through, hitting the wall and being absorbed into the material. The blackness coalesced into a single form, a Sith lord, or the ghost of one. He got up slowly, figuring he'd have quite a fight on his hands, and holstered the rifle. He ran through banishing and sealing jutsu in his mind, as he flexed his fingers.

Just then, SiRen grinned, having cracked into the Drive Control and Navigation systems. He cycled down the drives, noting that they'd need to be repaired and readjusted, and then checked the navigation charts, before setting the ship on a heading that would take it to a landing on a nearby world called Tatooine. He hoped they could get the repairs on both ships down there, at least temporarily.

She felt that presence lumming in the room and talked to him mentally..

<If it speaks it will lie.. Do not let it come to you.. Ask me now and I will give you assistance..>

She felt a disturbance and wanted to enter but knew she might throw off his concentration.. It was difficult to stand there as she heard no response but much noise..

< I'm coming in!>

She felt excruciating pain as she was struck with some sort of blast that her saber deflected most of and she was thrown back.. What in the world was going on?

Adray heard the mental warning, and nodded, then started moving his hands, his lips forming words even as his hands started to form symbols. His hands moved rapidly, changing symbols in set patterns, even as the Sith lord moved closer. He closed his eyes, ignoring the presence, and sent a short mental message to her to get the soldiers out of the room. As he felt her move, he kicked a rifle up at the presence to distract it from her, long enough for her to clear the room. He then opened his eyes, shouting words as his hands formed one final symbol.

"Lightning Style...THUNDERBOLT JUTSU!" Suddenly, his aimed his hands at the presence, and a thunderbolt flashed from them, just as the ship touched down on Tatooine.

She felt a jolt as the ship took a less than precisioned landing on the planet below.. She saw a bright light and then saw the man stand alone..

"It appears we have landed.."

They made their way to the bridge and found themselves on Tatooine.. She had personally never been there, but she knew it was the childhood home of jedi grand master Luke Skywalker.. What were they going to do? They were in the middle of the desert, with most of the crew injured due to the fight.. She'd have to send the order a message.. She made a holographic recording stating everything that had happened and sent it to the order.. Hopefully they would send some help soon.. She sighed, not completely sure of what to do next..

Adray smiled, just as a young woman with dark tanned skin and pointed ears came onto the bridge. She bowed slightly, then handed him a list of the repairs she made to the gravimagnetic system and the sublight engines. He grinned, seeing the list, and seeing that she had not only woken up, but also gotten out of the ship. He introduced her to the young Jedi, as his Second Officer, Erika Vitare, and then looked at SiRen, who was running a diagnostic on the Republic ship to find out how extensive the damage was.

"Well, we made it. The crew should recover, in the meantime, SiRen and Erika will need to make a run to the nearest spaceport to see if they can get the parts to fix at least your ship. I doubt they can find the ones to fix mine, but fortunately, mine can fly in atmosphere, and with the secondary propulsion intact, they can use it to get the parts."

"So it seems we shall be here for awhile.."

She knew there would be a catch to her coming on such a seemingly boring mission, but why didn't the order just tell her? For the first time in the last hour sat down, and a bit of frustration could be seen on her face..

"Those men are not going to be pleased when they wake up.. We have to find a way of telling them what has occured without chaos breaking out.."

She tried to focus letting herself become apart of her surroundings.. Letting herself go if only for a short time.. She opened her eyes still unsure of how they should do this, but knew that the force would guide and not forsake her in this time of need..

Adray smiled, then accepted a small device from SiRen, which was an optical transfer device of the kind they used. He figured it had the internal camera data on it, and they could use it to explain what had happened. He watched her for a few seconds, then nodded to SiRen and Erika, who took off, after accepting a small datachip from one of the doctors, the only ones who WEREN'T affected. Erika bowed, and then went out to the ship, as SiRen opened the landing bay and then went inside. As the ship left to make the trip to the spaceport, Adray closed his eyes, thinking about what had happened.

She saw him thinking about something.. She did not wish disturb him, but she knew that she would have to..

"Adray.. What happened back there in that room? What did you see? It is important that we know what we are dealing with.. I apologize for my actions earlier.. I should not have agreed to guard you like a common criminal when I felt you were nothing of the sort.. Please, let us go get some food.. I know you are mostly likely taken with hunger.. Follow me.."

They stepped into the kitchen and found some things that were edible.. She sat at a table and slowly consumed what was before her.. She looked at him as he seemed to wonder whether her should sit with her..

Adray smiled slowly, then sat down across from her. He thought best how to explain what he had seen, as he ate quietly. Finally, after consuming half his meal, he looked up. He smiled at her, then spoke in low tones. He described in detail the shadowy figure he had seen. He had no idea he was describing a Dark Lord of the Sith, let alone one that had been dead for five hundred years. When he finally stopped, he let his description sink in, and went back to eating.

After about twenty minutes, Erika and SiRen dropped into Mos Eisly, settling in a shipyard after using the datachip to secure a landing facility. They then set out to find the parts they needed, judging from the list. They made a slightly odd pair, one mechanical human who seemed as if he were wearing a mechanical suit of armor, and one tanned, lean woman with pointed ears and eyes that glinted dangerously.

If what he had described was indeed a sith lord or the ghost of one, then there was no way it was gone.. It would linger around until it could gain a worthy follower.. They would have to be on the look out.. In the meantime she would have to tell him how long he had been asleep and what had happened..

"Adray..I know I am not the person to be telling this to you, but I think it is important that you know how long you've been asleep.. It's been over two hundred years since Jorus C'Baoth was alive.. There were many wars fought and many changes made since the old republic was in order.. Even the jedi order fell and came back over this time.. I am quite sorry.."

She saw his face become expressionless and she didn't know what to say to him.. She did not know what he was feeling and searched his face for answers..

Adray blinked, closing his eyes, and thought. Jorus had said that the war was the least of the Republic's concern. He had figured that's what the old man had meant. He felt her staring at him, and slowly opened his eyes, looking back into hers. He shrugged, then stood up slowly, and walked over to a control panel, and started to push buttons, trying to get it to tell him if there were any news of his people. He finally found a news feed mentioning a last message from a dead people. He almost fell to his knees, until he found out that some survivors had been given refuge by the New Republic. Unfortunately, it indicated that it was a single ship full of people. He slowly turned to look at her, and then dropped down into a sitting position.

In Mos Eisley, Erika and SiRen located a dealer in ship parts, and were inspecting merchandise. They finall made their purchases, and headed back to the ship, passing by two very strange companions. (cue Screech and the other person)

Something rattled inside her as she saw him looking for his people in desperation then finding they were gone. She remembered wanting to know what it felt like to have a mother embrace her and to know that everything would be alright.. She never experienced that, yet she saw it all the time on every planet she visited.. A mother caring for her child, a safe embrace.. She didn't know why, but she found herself hugging him trying to re-enact this practice that she'd seen, hoping to ease his pain.. This embrace lasted longer than she expected and for once she felt something beyond unyielding dedication.. She knew not what it was, but it made her face soften and her body warm.. She then let go suddenly and stopped at the door before leaving..

"I am very sorry.."

Her voice was different for that moment, and she then began her walk back to the bridge..

Adray blinked, caught offguard by the action. He shivered slightly, as she let him go, and then got up, following her to the bridge. He hadn't expected any of this, let alone the news that his entire civilization had vanished in the fires of an expanding sun. He wondered briefly how many people actually escaped, and where they went. He shook his head slowly, and then turned his attention to fixing the damage done to the internal systems, which was minimal, of course.

As she got to the bridge she realized what she had done.. She'd shown emotion and attachment.. These things were forbidden to the old order and always led to darkness.. She caught herself looking at him as if he might be her death then regained herself.. It would not happen again.. She scanned for other damages then walked over to see his progress..

"So what is the status of the ship? How long do you think it will take to repair?"

Adray shrugged, reading over the report. He had noticed only damage to the outer hull, mostly from the intense radiation of a close orbit to one of the two stars near Tatooine. Some sensors were offline as well, but those could be easily repaired, as could the hull. There was, in reality, very little damage, which went to show how well built the Republic Dreadnaughts were. While he had been checking the damage, he had also compiled a list of parts he would need to fix or even maximize the outfittings of the Atlantis.

"Very little damage. Some sensor arrays offline, parts of the hull corroded. Easily fixed for the most part. I was going over the designs for the Atlantis, or rather, for the Athalanta, which is what i named the full version. Here, have a look, and let me know where we can have the building done."

She began to look at the plans. They were unlike anything she'd ever seen.. They were absolutely excellent in their planning and execution.. His ship was indeed only a small fraction of what it could be.. She felt that warmth again and froze as he leaned over her to point at some of the special components.. What was wrong with her? This was indeed a distraction, but ignoring it wouldn't do any good either.. She had to maintain her focus no matter what..

Adray smiled, taking great satisfaction in his designs. The Atlantis was designed to be part of a much larger ship, the larger one not having been constructed. The designs were something that would have taken the shipyards in orbit around his world about a decade to complete, but they hadn't had time to do so, and so only the hull of the Atlantis and the fitting of older equipment into it was done. He had picked out the materials needed himself, using an alloy that was not only durable and leakproof, but also provided necessary impact protection. He had also designed in detail sensors that made even the planetary observatories seem obsolete. Unfortunately, they had never finished it. If finished, it would have been twice as big as the Dreadnaught they were on, and wouldn't have been capable of planetary landings. That's where the Atlantis would come in. It was intended to be a shuttle, as well as a military landing craft.

"The ship would have been the ultimate in technology, capable of crossing the intergalactic void in days. I never had the opportunity to see it finished, though. I'd like to see her complete, as it would give me a great deal of pride, not to mention the ability to gather together any survivors of my people."

"This could probably help our current technology greatly.. While It would be interesting to see this constructed, it would cost a great deal.. Do not worry, I am sure we will find a way to help you.."

She felt some of the crew becoming concious again..

"Let us tend to the fallen.. They must learn of what has happened.."

She knew not the pain or anguish he might be feeling from this loss, but wished she knew how to help him...

Adray nodded, leaving the display running, and spoke into the ship's mic. He made a quick announcement, asking the crew to meet at the closest terminals, as he planned on showing the visual of what happened to them over that. He then put the crystal on the viewer, causing the display to bring up the internal cameras, showing the black entity. He smiled, as most of the crew murmured, some feeling guilty, but most feeling relieved that they couldn't remember.
