OH YES... while not at points race, it sure must feel good for him to be back in the winner's circle. I know I'm happy for him... this could be a very good year. Those Toyotas looked pretty racy too, much better than I saw last year. All the regular cast were up front again to.

Should be interesting this year... especially if Junior is as revitalized as it appears.

Well... with a win... a picture....

This is one of my oldest pictures and not a very good one at that. I set the camera up on the dresser on timer, Rachel and I began to wrestle. It was pretty low light I guess and the shutter was really slow and we came out very blurry. We were both cheerleaders and still in high school when I took this shot. There were a number of boys that would've given a lot to see this shot even if it was as bad as it is.

I don't know why, but I think it's still a cool picture.

ok... a couple of guestions to answer

Why were 2 high school girls wrestling naked?

We were high and it seemed like fun at the time.

We were going through this stage where we just liked being naked. It seemed just so daring, especially if either my or Rachel's parents were out for the night or weekend. One set of parents was always doing something and that gave us lots of time. We'd just be silly, sometimes, we'd order pizza and one or the other of us would prance out naked while the other was paying. The pizza kids eyes alway lit up. We thought it was all pretty funny.

We used to constantly be sleeping over each others houses. I didn't know until years later that her mom thought we were lesbians because we used to sleep in the nude together all the time. We never did anything back then, but it was nice to feel her body next to mine and I know she felt the same...

So I guess nude wrestling was just another stupid kind of thing we did when high... no better reason or excuse.

I know what you mean by the number 8 and Budwieser, but it's just going to a loss for both of those concerns... I like Mark Martin and all, but he's had his great days, I respect him as a teacher and very experieced racer who ran at very high levels. But I think that the number 8 isn't going to be a regular contender until some of the issues mentioned as Junior's reason for leaving are addressed. I just don't see that happening in the immediate future.

The Amp sponsorship... I don't know about that, but I think that'll work out fine. Amp market target is younger guys exactly the fan base of Junior. I think it'll be ok, I think I remember my dad following Kyle Petty when he drove the mellow yellow car and that seemed ok... or even Gordon and Pepsi.

We'll just have to wait and see. I don't want to see him getting all cleaned up like Gordon or Johnson, but some of that is unavoidable I think. I like Gordon and he's a fantastic driver... Johnson, I have reservations about. He just doesn't seem to have any personality at all, or just not enough to suit me.

yeah, i know about that 'like to be naked' phase. it's just with guys that there's always stuff around the room that you're either banging into, or knocking over, or getting goo on, or...
